I will be spending a few days in the Seaworld / Discovery Cove area in April before visiting Disneyworld. I have reservations a HIFS, but would like to stay somewhere closer to Seaworld for the first few days.

I'd also like to do better on the hotel rate if possible. The best I could do at HIFS was $149 per night (Easter week).

I'm looking for some advice on where to stay. I prefer a suite hotel with at least 1 bedroom. The Residence Inn Seaworld seems nice. Has anyone stayed there? Are there similar hotels that someone could recommend?

I have stayed at the RI in LBV. The Seaworld RI is similiar.

Very nice and spacious suite hotels with an excellent hot breakfast buffet. Very clean.

Check marriott.com for specials.

Many posters seem to like the summerfield suites, Int. drive, and the Hawthorn suites at Seaworld.

We will be staying at the Summerfield Suites on International Drive. We booked a 2 BR suite for $76. But I booked their Webrates. Which you must book within 21 days before leaving and it must be paid in full and it is non refundable. I will let you know how it is when we get back.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to check our Summerfield Suites and Hawthorn Suites as well.

Hi,

Just got back from Disney and stayed at Hawthorn Suites on Westwood Drive. It was convenient and close to everything. Breakfast buffet had eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy(not all on the same day). Staff was pleasant and the fridge with the freezer was super. Froze 4 water bottles each night then had cold water all day at the parks. With the breakfast the kids weren't complaining at the parks for something to eat. The pool was nice not crowded at all. Menus for I-Drive restaurants can be obtained at the front desk. I would recommend the place to stay of you have children. About $60.00 a night plus tax. Nearby strip mall has convenience store, Subway, Flippers Pizza(white pizza was good) Chinese restaurant(did not try), Bennigans(OK) Steak and Ale(not impressed service was poor, food OK at best). Overall this Hawthorn Suites was very nice. By the way the parks were not crowded at all May 3- 10. This is my first post here- hope it helps someone.:bounce: :bounce:
