I am planning a day trip with Grayline (free transportation) to Seaworld San Diego on August 19 (Sunday):surfweb:. I am thinking of getting the Quick Queue Premier so we can skip lines for some rides and get reserved seating for all the shows to save time as we have limited hours at the park (will miss nighttime fireworks for sure:sad:).

Has anyone used Quick Queue Premier before? Is it worth it on a Sunday? Can we just show up 15 minutes before shows to get good seats? I don't care much about the rides but worry about the shows:scratchin.

How likely would Quick Queue Premier include the new Manta ride in August? The Seaworld states unlimited line skipping access but some sites state only one line skipping access for 3 rides. Has Seaworld just changed the terms of use for Quick Queue tickets recently?

Thanks in advance for your info and tips:worship:!

I've never used the quick que so can't comment on that itself. For shows we arrive 20-30 minutes early on a fairly busy day and have not had trouble getting a good seat. Midday the Dolphin show can fill up earlier.

Journey to Atlantis rarely gets over 20 minutes, usually much less even on a busy day. Shipwreck rapids can get a long 45-90 minute line on a sunny afternoon but is short mornings, nights or cooler overcast days. Wild Arctic averages 10-15 minutes but can see 30-40 minutes for a short period midday.

The skytower (additional charge) can get 30 minute lines after dark otherwise short. The new Manta ride I'd expect to have lengthy lines except in morning. The kids ride section can get busy on the weekends.

How late can you stay with the greyline bus? Seaworld has nighttime versions of the Shamu show and Sea Lion show. Both are well worth seeing if you can. Plan to arrive at the Sea Lion show 15 minutes earlier than you normally would. It has a pre-show thats quite good that begins 15 minutes before posted show start and the stadium will fill earlier because of that.

Thanks for your tips and advice. I think the bus will return before the evening shows. Wish I can stay longer but ...

I guess I will wait until I get there to decide if I need to buy the Quick Queue pass or not. Thanks again!
