Has anyone done either/both of these experiences. Trying to come up with a plan/budget for our Nov. trip and not sure which one to do. DD8 LOVES orcas and I’d love to do one for her.

I'd pick the dine just because they use the proper terminology "Orca".

If the up close used Orca I'd pick that one. But still using "Killer Whale" turns me off.

We did the breakfast with Shamu years ago and the interaction is decided by tge orca. So when it was time for photos he wasn’t feeling it and we got one with him swimming behind. Like 10 mins later he did a massive side splash and completely covered our food in water. My son was like Shamu ruined my breakfast! Lol

I've done the dine only (several times) and I highly recommend it! It's a great way to get a decent amount of time in close proximity, and see the orcas doing something other than just the show behaviors. The trainers will answer questions.

The earlier you book, the better your seats. All the seats are close but the best ones are literally up to the glass.

It's not great for photo opp with the orcas though. If that's your main goal, you'd need the up close tour.

The price is also wildly different. The Dine with Orcas includes a full meal & non-alcoholic beverage which makes the whole thing a decent deal as far as SW food goes.
