Seats and Sweets at MK or fireworks cruise on Bay Lake?

Trying to decide if our crew of 9 would enjoy sweets and seats at MK or the private fireworks cruise from the Grand Floridian in late August. Any thoughts are appreciated.

We’ve done the fireworks (around 15 years ago) cruise and loved it. No crowds to fight.

I would do the cruise if those were my options. Seats and sweets has a terrible view of the castle projections for the price, so at that point might as well just focus on the fireworks and get a private showing.

There's some give and take with either. Even with a preferred viewing area in MK for the fireworks, you'll still be dealing with crowds. But with so much of the show now involving the projections on the castle, with a cruise you do lose some of the special effects that make the shows so good. But with a group sized around 9 people, I would probably opt for the cruise - sounds like a fun thing to do as a group/family!

Thanks. I do realize the private fireworks cruise is probably better at Epcot, but since we are staying at GF, I wanted to make it convenient for the group. Do you think there is any benefit to cruising if you can see the fireworks from GF property where we are staying anyhow?
