Hi everyone!

It not only is my families first time to WDW but it is also our first family trip. I'm so excited!

Since I am going with children, was wondering if when we show up for our ADR, are we able to make recommendations on where we would like to sit? If so, where are some good recommendations for these restaurants???

CRT
Chef Mickey
Tusker House
50's Prime Time
OHana
Crystal Palace
Coral Reef

The main one I am concerned about is Coral Reef. I do have small children, each of which are very well behaved. I read the post about the woman who had children crawling on her table - I would never dream of it - WOW my husband would have been PO'd, or simply put, that would never happen! Anyway, I want to make sure that they have a good view of the water though (esp my 13 month old as she loves fish tanks) LOL Any recommendations on this? Is there a spot in the place with bad seating???

Thanks everyone!

At most restaurants your best bet is to take what is first available, especially since you're dining with small children. There really aren't any bad seats in the house, and it's generally better to let them eat sooner rather than wait quite a while for a 'prime' table.

In lieu of asking for a specific seat at Coral Reef, I'd ask for 'best available'. I think I read in that Coral Reef thread that the second tier had good seats for viewing the tank. You could just tack that onto your request asking for the best available and specifically mentioning tank side or second tier.

Have a great first trip!! :goodvibes

You can always put a request in BUT request are not a guarantee. I would take what I can get cause you might be waiting a while.

Tricia - thanks for the suggestion! I will take your advice and ask for best available for Coral Reef - although - when do I ask for this? At the time of making my ADR's (because I have already done this)...or when I check in at the restaurant?

I asked this question when I made my reservation for Coral Reef, and they said tell them at the podium and can't be a given. I decided to make the reservation for as close to opening as I could, hoping that I would have a better shot with an empty place. I'm also going to try to check in with the podium earlier and put in the request then before our time at 11:40 (opens at 11:30). I don't know if it will help, but it will make me feel better to have tried. We had a tank-side table once before (our reservation was at 11:30 and we were the first in the place) and it was our favorite experience of all the restaurants.

We sat in the 2nd tier seating at Coral Reef and found the view spectacular - I liked it better than the tables right by the window actually.
