I can only get reservations for singles, but we are 3. Can I make 3 single reservations and still sit together?

Breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Well, I doubt it really matters. I expect you'll be fine at any meal with multiple reservations.

I don't believe so, because the tables for singles are a smaller size. Perhaps you can call in and see if they can combine the tables together for you, so that you could all fit? Another factor is that all three tables might not be ready at the same time. One might be ready, and the other two single tables might still be occupied. I'd definitely call and see if they can work it out for you :)

EDIT: If it's the CS breakfast or lunch, you'd have no trouble at all sitting together

Hmm. I don't think I've ever seen a table for one. I always thought 2 tops were the smallest.

Anyway, as previously noted, if you are referring to lunch or breakfast, since you are free to seat yourself wherever you want, the 3 of you will have no problem. If it is dinner, you're going to want to continue your hunt for an ADR that will accommodate all of you. One trick is to try for an ADR for 4 if 3 is unavailable. Sounds counterintuitive, but it works for some.

oh, I just realized what I said! Woops, yeah. The tables for singles are definitely the same size tables that they use for parties of two :)

Totally possible - In my experience, 100% YES this is possible --AT LUNCH. We had a group of 7; groups is 3, 3 and 1. We all paid separately and found a table large enough for us in the ballroom. Not a problem at all and nothing missed. The food was delivered in four carts, but that's ok.

This is, of course, only our experience at lunch.

But this means you took a table from someone who reserved a 7 or 8 top.
Do as you will, but I think that is not fair.

Because it's not assigned seating, I don't think it like they took a table away from a larger party. When DH and I have eaten there, and were just a party of , we have almost always sat at 4 top because that was available. Was that unfair because I took a table out of circulation that was for a party of 4? What if we were a party of 3? I doubt there are many 3 top tables - where would we have sat if you are only allowed to use a table for the exact number in your ADR party?

I could not get a lunch ADR at BOG for party of 2 so we got 2 single ADRs 5 min apart. It will work at lunch or breakfast because you seat yourself.

I guess we see it differently, but I'm not sure calling me unfair is appropriate in this case. Specifically as it applies to my case, lunch, I have to disagree with the concept of "took a table"? At the end of the day, Be Our Guest is a counter service restaurant at lunch. All counter service restaurants have seating that is first come, first served. Let's not assume the ADR at lunch promises anything more than entrance into a very popular restaurant. At dinner, that's a different story. Dinner is a table service restaurant, that you are seated at a table and order off a menu at your table. Completely different experience and in this case, yes, you are reserving a table for your group.

When we arrived the BOG last week the line for ADRs was well past the entrance to the bridge. I had no expectations that we would be guaranteed seats together (just like ABC Commissary or Electric Umbrella), but when I walked into the ballroom I found a table for six that would accommodate us because we could put the smaller kids on the booth side. In fact, the ballroom was 1/3 empty. At one point a cast member asked if we would like to pull some extra chairs up, but we declined ... we were fine. The CMs willingness to do this showed me that at lunch it's open seating. Nothing is specifically held for anyone at lunch. I caution to assume too much at any counter service restaurant - not sure fair and counter service ever really go together.

I think what's unfair is to imply we did anything wrong because we don't see it that way, and at the end of the day expect people/families like mine that might be there annoying you not even knowing we did anything wrong :o

As said above, breakfast and lunch are open seating. You should be able to sit together. If the above posts have left you questioning whether it is ethical to do so, I would recommend that you ask permission from the CM who checks you in. I am confident that they will encourage you to all sit together.

At dinner they will not guarantee it, but will make every effort to seat you together. I have made a handful of split reservations over the years (primarily over the phone, at the suggestion of the reservation agent) and we have always been seated together, at one table.

Hoping it's ok to jump in and ask if it is difficult to find tables for larger parties since it is open seating at lunch and breakfast. We were lucky enough to book an ADR for all 10 of us together Christmas week. I think I have read several times that there is usually plenty of seating but wondered if they will fill the restaurant to capacity that week.

Ok, I was able to get three single reservations at 12:25, 12:40 and 12:45 (Lunch). From what you all said, it will be fine. Should we order our food ahead of time? That seems to be the better choice, correct?
