seated at two tables?

I made my ADRs today at the 180 day mark. My confirmation at both Sci Fy and 50s prime time states that my party (of 5) may be seated at 2 tables. Is this a standard thing for these places or should I try a different time? I didn't notice this note when I was making the confirmation. This note did come up when I was making my ADR at Garden Grill, so I picked a different time and the notation went away.

I don't know why that note pops up. Like you, it popped up on some of our reservations but not on others. Our family has never been split up when dining. All of the tables at the restaurants I've been to at Disney accommodate your family of five. If it helps for reassurance, there have been people here on the boards that have been a party of two that have received that note. Seriously, split up a party of two? Makes me think there's something weird about that note. I would choose the time you want and not worry about it.

I don't think they would split up such a small party. If you were 7, 8 or more that would be a different story. I used to work as an assignor at Akershus and when there was a bigger party the reservation would say if they were okay to be split on two tables or if they wanted a large one(we never split up a party of 5 though as they can all fit on a four top table). So if it's really important for you to be sure you're all on one table, I'm sure you can call and have it added to your reservation.

I've read here on the Disboards that the warning comes up when the restaurant is getting close to full (in terms of ADRs). I've had it come up for parties of three. I've never made an ADR for a party of one or two, but I've read that folks have gotten that with really small parties as well.

I would guess that for a party of 5, it is very unlikely that they would split you up.
