Hey gang, long time no post. All my prior cruises are but distant memories :)
My 3 day Cruise Souvie.. baby # 4 is due in 8 weeks!

Anyhow, need some Homework help for Nicolas. He is doing a speech on the Disney Cruise.
You know that one hallway... I think on the way to shutters?
Where they list all the Disney Cruise facts like how many cups of coffee are served, how many eggs, the weight of the ship compared to elephants?

If anyone has this stuff written down can you PLEASE email it to me or post it? I figure there were about 10 facts so if everyone remembers one we'll be in good shape. Thanks a bunch.
Happy sailing to all those with trips planned.
I'm looking at February 2004. (we hope)

Thanks again, Kathy

I know which ones you mean...like how many eggs are cooked each day, or how many pillow onboard, etc.....I just don't know where to look for that info. Good luck.

MJ

What is the new Passporter?
How do access it?

Thanks!

MJ, I thought for sure you'd have the darned things memorized at the rate that you cruise!

Kathy

Passporter is a book about Disney. They just released a new DCL one in January. You could also check Passporter.com

I don't know if they have the info, but it's worth a try.

Good luck!

kendall....great site...I had never seen that one before.....their info is a bit outdated on some things, like the fireworks in Nassua. They used to do that but no more!!!

Anyway, I am sure TinkerKat will love it because it has all those facts she was looking for. You could just substitute Wonder for the Magic, if needed.

Disney Wonder is almost as long as the Eiffel Tower is high, and it's nearly as long as the Empire State Building is high.
If Disney Wonder were a land vehicle, it would need an eight lane motorway (including reservation!) to handle its width.
The anchor alone is as heavy as two Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaurs or three elephants.
The horsepower of Disney Wonder's five engines is equivalently to the power of more than 100 Formula One racing cars running at full speed.

Each day of operation, 5,000 people will be transported from the airport to their resort, to the part and back to the airport
There are 1,367 miles of cable on the ship.
On a three-day cruise, 6,525 pool towels will be used and washed, enough to handle every athlete of every participating country's Olympic swimming team.
There are 5,390 pillows on board.
8,260 cups of coffee are served every days, on board.
In a month of cruises on the Disney Wonder, 15,776 cans of Coca-Cola will be consumed. To play '99 Cans of Coke on the wall' you would need a wall 3,616 feet long and you'd have to sing the song for two straight days to get to the end.
The ship can make 1,200 tons of fresh water from seawater each day.
Disney Cruise Line will transport approximately 10,000 suitcases per operating day. If each bag weighs 15 pounds, the team will get a great daily workout: lifting 75 tons.

Thanks for the link!!!

This teamwork is why I LOVE these boards!
Thanks so much!
And MJ, thanks for saving me a little time this rushed am before school!
Kendell, thanks for the link!
You guys saved the day.
I thank you and Nicolas thanks you!

Kathy

Did he have his speech today??? Keep us posted on how he did and what "facts" he impressed the class with!!!

MJ

Great Link. This info should be great for any child to bring home to their school mates!
