Am I the only one that gets bothered with the crazy increase in buffet pricing during the summer? Just because they can.

It bothers me so much that we have not gone to one since. Am I just cranky today?

If a restaurant costs more than I'm willing to pay, I just don't go. It's just not a big enough deal to get upset over it.

I agree. And, with companies, ANY company, it's demand that drives the price. If more people are at the parks in the summer or holiday times, then raise prices.

The demand at Le Cellier was so high, it went to two dining credits and a lot higher prices. And that's not a buffet and it's permanent, not seasonal.

Look at automobile fuel prices. When do those get raised? Higher demand times.

Disney could raise a lot of prices in the summer - but the water bottles and other drink prices stay the same.

actually the water price just went up - but that's probably permanent and not just seasonal.

it's entirely up to you how you spend your money, there are plenty of places to go that don't have seasonal pricing. Indeed the previous poster has mentioned that there hasn't been any seasonal pricing this year anyway.

I thought I had read Ohana was charging $50 now. Maybe I read it incorrectly. Sticker shock I guess. We are booked at our favorites but I do have a bunch of non booked days that I hope to explore offsite restaurants. Sorry for being cranky today.
