We spent a week just north of Clearwater in December 03.
We did the dolphin trip on the Little Toot... a converted tug. Much smaller than the Seascreamer, which wasn't on duty anyway.
Personally we loved Little toot, great captain, only seats about 30-32 people and a very personal experience. The dolphins are awesome.
Whichever you choose, you'll love it. I'd imagine the Seascreamer is faster ( although Little Toot is no slouch ) as the name suggests!!....the sea is smooththough, so I very much doubt if seasickness would be possible ( depends on your tummy, though!).
Worth it to see the houses of the rich and famous, Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson...and Hulk Hogan, HH bought an ancient Buckinghamshire mansion and had it taken apart and re-built in Clearwater!! Only improvement is he had a sliding roof installed...!
While you're there , try to go to Pier 60 ( dead opposite Seascreamer & all the other boats ) for the nightly Sunset Festival. Great occassion, fire-eaters, puppeteers, mime artists etc perform for free, although a donation is always welcomed.
