I don't think I would be able to go onto the ledge.

The Sears Tower is offering a new way to push your fear of heights right over the edge.

A glass ledge, actually, suspended from the building's 103rd floor Skydeck.

“The Ledge” is the nickname given to a set of glass balconies that open to the public Thursday.

I saw this on the Today show this AM. I'm very surprised it didn't trigger a minor panic attack. I will not be getting anywhere near the ledge.

I don't think I will be going there any time soon! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

oooh, I would love that!! :goodvibes

I went to the Sears Tower last year, and probably left one of the "forehead prints" the article talked about. It was so incredible!

(and yeah, I want to go on that glass walkway at the Grand Canyon too! :thumbsup2)

As someone who gasped and thought they were falling when first walking on the glass floor of Who Wants to be a Millionaire--Play It!, a floor suspended only 2 feet above the perceived 'bottom'.... I would be far too scared to go onto the ledge. :eek:

Heh..for some reason this put me in mind of the newish glass ledge the have over the Grand Canyon now, and the joke that was made on Saturday night live that went something like
"A new glass platform opened this week over Grand Canyon, providing a beautiful view for tourists to $(@! their pants." lol :rotfl:

I'll be heading downtown to try this in a month or so. It looks spectacular.

Fun fact: The Grand Canyon Skywalk isn't really over the Grand Canyon. It hangs out over a side canyon.

No, no, and some more no...did I mention 'no way in hades'? :P

No way....My legs turn to rubber standing on a chair!

The CN Tower in Toronto has a glass floor that I stood on when i went to Toronto in 1995. I went to Chicago in 1982 and went up into the Sears Tower and watched a beautiful Sunset. I would love to see the glass balcony.

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

There is NO freaking way I could ever do that. I doubt I could even LOOK at that contraption without feeling faint, let alone go out there.

omg that is SOOOOOOOO scary! ive done the glass floor at the CN tower many times but that is nothing compared to that! :eek::eek::eek:
