Searching for Mary Poppins (babysitter in WDW)

We've never left our kids with someone we didn't know or interview several times prior, but I'm considering a babysitter for one evening in WDW.

I know my kids will not immediately go to sleep with this stranger in our room. They will need lots of entertainment and fun fanfare . Has anyone had a really fun babysitter. Someone whose shown up at your door with a bag of "tricks" games, crafts, etc....

Like Mary Poppins with her carpetbag!

Considering how paranoid my DH is, we'll probably just dine at the resort and be back to the room to put the kids to bed. So two hours tops. But it needs to be a really fun two hours so we don't feel guilty leaving them!

We used the kids nite out service last time we were down, and we will be using htem again this upcoming trip. I thought the woman they sent the last time was excellent (of course I can't recall her name- and I tried to book her again!). wE DID the same thing, had dinner and returned early to put the my dd down. The only thing that stinks is that you have to pay for four hours even if you only use a short period of time.

This little night out is going to cost a fortune!! Well, also because we want to dine at Narcoosees!

I'm open to this idea only if it's for a short time, I could do four hours, just not late at night. I'm just too nervous. I also would not leave our resort.

We did the same thing last time- stayed in the resort. This time we are going back to California Grill (which you are right adds to the cost of the night) so we will be travelling between resorts... not too bad, poly to cr- but still I felt a little better being onsite last time!
