Search isn't working need info on December HoJo Promo

I've tried for the last 20 minutes to do searches on this but it keeps timing out on me. So, at the risk of asking a question that has been answered a bazillion times.....

We are thinking of doing DL from 12/27 - 1/01 this year. We want to stay at the HoJo. Every other time I've gone, this board has know of some fantastic code for HoJos (my fav hotel!). Does anyone know if there is a promo for that time of year?

Generally, the HoJo only offers the spectacular Entertainment Rate during periods where they know occupancy will be low. Unfortunately, the dates you are looking at are some of the very busiest days at DLR and the hotel will no doubt sell out. You can request a 15% DisBoard discount when booking, or they also offer a 20% discount for AP holders.

I think that is what I'm going to do. I think I will go ahead and reserve in the next few days just to make sure we get a Disney facing room. Hubby adores HoJo. Grew up in Redondo and doesn't like LA much but he will stay in Orange Co. We were there last August and he had a fab time.

The rates are actually not that bad and with the %15 discount, that is better.

You might also start to think about your past and future trips... if you spaced them slightly closer together in the future, you would find that an AP would suit your family, and then you could also take advantage of the 20% discount at hojo for AP holders. Seems you're going once a year anyway, right? So put two inside of one year and pay less for the tickets. (I really should get a commission on APs, seriously)

The thing is, the family planned to spend Christmas this year at WDW. Geographically, we are much closer to Orlando - some of the family could drive. Well, those plans are kinda falling apart and since my daughters (especially the youngest) have already set their heart on a Disney trip, I want to go ahead and put the framework for a DL trip in the works. We won't know for sure until August about the other family members being able to get vacation for that time. If they can, that is fine. We will do WDW. But if they can't, I want to go to DL. DL is by far my fav anyway but the rest of the fam is WDW fans. You just can't beat walking out of HoJo, pushing the youngest in a stroller, cutting through that 'secret short cut' and finally arriving in DL. I love the plaza between the two parks. I love DTD. Ooooh, I'm getting excited!

You can see the HoJo rates by going to HoJoAnaheim.com click on discussion boards at the top and then scroll down to the discount area, they will show the available Ent Rate dates there.

You don't need to get an AP quite yet, just have that thought in the back of your mind. If you decide to do it then go for it, if you end up going to WDW instead then no problem. APs really do pay for themselves so to speak, with the park discounts & hotel discounts they really can be worth it.

Eh - it is more of a 'get off of Harbor' quicker than a true shortcut.

If you stay at the HoJo, cross at the light right at the street that leads back to the HoJo (Sorry, forgot the name). Walk down Harbor on the park side and you will see an entrance that you can go into which leads to the taxi pick up before the main entrance. I probably should have looked up the street names before I started replying. Anyway, this entrance is sort of a diagonal across the bus area to the main gate. It kinda shaves off a little bit at the main light. What I like about it is you are off of Harbor quicker and I feel safer being away from the traffic sooner.

The bus drops me off near that spot and I also cut across the taxi and resort busses area. it avoids the light where the taxis, public busses, and resort shuttles enter. The curb cut offs are much easier on that cutoff than trying to wait for the light then going down those steep cutoffs on the curbs at the light.

It is very official looking in the way the sidewalk and paths are marked.
