We were in Disney the first week in March and walking through Frontierland was like walking through a war zone! There were millions off seagulls and they were pooping on everyone. I never seen the seagulls so bad before. Has anyone had this problem??

The guests are partly to blame. They've fed them, and seaguls are naturally quite brazen. It sure would be nice if some sort of pyrotechnics or just noise would scare them away, but I imagine it would do little good now, the birds are so used to it. The only alternative would be to trap and transfer, and imagine the rucus from animal rights groups.

DO NOT under any circumstances, think it is cute or harmless to feed the birds, no matter how many times you've watched Mary Poppins.

Folks leave the lunch or dinner on table they just bought to go back to works bar.Zoom the birds are on top of it before you can blink your eye.I've always seen Disney replace the meals they lost to the birds,so always leave one person at table to protect your meals.::yes:: :wave2:

They sell bird food on Tom Sawyer Island, though we thought it was probably for the ducks and for the most part that is what we fed it to. There was some other very small type of bird that would catch the food in the air, so we couldn't resist giving them some too!

Yes, I have been the victim of seagull poop in Frontierland. We made the huge error of eating outside at Pecos Bills. We managed to keep them away from our food, but I got pooped on before we left.

We've seen the seagulls dive down and take food right out of peoples hands. In frontierland a gull landed on a girls head and grabbed her food and in tomorrowland a gull swooped down and grabbed a fry out of someones dish. We have fed the black birds on Tom Sawyer Island also.

A few weeks ago my kids kept noticing bird doo doo on that back of peoples shirts as we walked around. Not one or two people but dozens one day. Yes, bigger problem them before!

Mine? Mine? Mine? Mine?

:teeth:

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

I do not deal well with birds to start with but going through frontier land is just tramatic. I will never eat there just because of all the bird poop. I know the restuarants are probably just as clean as any other place but that poop surely makes me lose my appetite. Yuck. :p

They need to clean it up in that area!

Oh, and all this time I'm thinking "Look, Finding Nemo scenery!"

When my DH & I were honeymooning in 12/00 we were sitting at that counter service place in Tomorrowland across from where Alien Encounter was. There were lots of seagulls, but one in particular stood out. He was standing on a nearby trash can YELLING at us. I know it sounds weird, but he stood there the entire time we were eating. Most of them just moved on from person to person, but that one was very persistant. When we looked closer, it only has one foot! We even have a picture of it!

We were having lunch on the waterfront in DD (Earl of Sandwich-delicious!) and a black bird pecked a Disney employee in the head! We talked to her and she said she was quite sore. She was going to report it to Disney as soon as her lunch was over.

That's your joke going right over my head. I'm really tired. Can you explain it please?

It's from Finding Nemo. The seagulls are really obnoxious, and the only thing they can say is, "Mine?"

Ohhhhh....I haven't seen Nemo so that explains why I couldn't get it. Guess I'll have to watch it.

Thanks moinab!

Yes, you really must watch Finding Nemo. Our DD2 has watched it so many times I think I have it memorized!
