We are planning on visiting Sea World and Aquatica this summer...a first for Aquatica and I haven't been to SeaWorld since I was a kid. I had a few questions!!

1 ~ can we bring food and drinks into the park?
2 ~ I've seen something about re-fillable mugs; if I buy mugs at SW, can I use them at A? Is it a one day only thing, or can the same mugs be used our entire stay?
3 ~ any great tips for young kids (at the time of trip the girls will be 8,4,and 2)?
4 ~ do we need water shoes? or will flip flops be fine?
5 ~ meal plan at Sea World ~ yes or no??
6 ~ is the website updated as far as the times of shows?
7 ~ Tickets ~ I think I'm going to order the combo passes from Undercover Tourist ~ is this my best bet?? Or are there places down there we should get them?

Thanks for any tips!

Sorry for the thread title.......not sure how I managed to delete part of it!

I have never tried taking food in but others on here have said they haven't had any problems with snacks and drinks. Definitely no coolers and no straws. Some have said prepared meals like sandwiches weren't allowed. Just might depend on who is searching your bag.

Refillable mugs are good forever. We still use ours from 2010. I don't know about A I haven't been there.

There is a fun kiddie area called shamu harbor. They have a splash area with water fountains. I have my kids were water shoes while they are there but I also make them wear sneakers for the park. If you comfy in flip flops then you will be fine.

Meal plan during the summer will be a great plan. Also your 2 yr old doesn't get on the plan. S/he can eat off of your plate or you can do like we do and just go through the line again and get the LO a plate. Will be handy for extra bottles of water. Just grab one on the way out after eating. Or just a nice snack and drink. We always like getting the watermelon and a drink. You get three slices per person.

The website only post show times for like 2 wks out.

I would only trust buying tickets from UT. Not anybody down here unless it were SW.

Thanks so much for the reply! So if I am understanding correctly, the dining plan is pretty much all you can eat? You just have to go back through the line to get more? Does it include whatever? Meal, snack, just a drink? Thank you...

Correct. And yes you can get just a drink. Entree, side or dessert and drink, or snack and drink.
