There are 7 of us going to WDW the week of Thanksgiving. Four of them stated they want to go to Sea World sometime during that week. We will be staying for 7 days. Is it worth doing all the disney parks and then if we aren't too tired go to Sea World? We used to have a Sea World in Ohio so we have been there done that, but I know that this one is better. I just want to know if it is worth really stretching it to go? Especially since it is around $60 to go. Also, is there any other way to get there besides renting a car?

Thanks!

I think it's definitely worth a trip to SeaWorld, especially if you have fans of sea creatures in your group. Plus, the Orlando location is the best by far (IMHO).

You can get a 20% discount at the gate by showing a Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards card. AAA members get 10% off at the gate.

Check out this thread regarding taking the Lynx bus (Orlando public transit) from either the TTC or DTD to SeaWorld: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1353859

You can also look up the schedule on Lynx's website: www.golynx.com You're looking the #50 bus route.

Other options include a taxi ($35 or so each way) or arranging a towncar with Mears and the like.

Tigger334 we are from OHIO too and always went to Sea World in Aurora. My DH and I didn't care for the one in Orlando we thought Aurora was better. But our DK's loved it, they were too young to remember the one right here at home. I'd say it would be worth a trip if you could swing the extra dough. Would you be ok with getting them from the NRA for 25 bucks each? Check out the thread above on the last page it gives you a number you can call cause the link has been taking off the site.

We also used to go to the Seaworld in Ohio and really miss it. We are headed to WDW at the end of the month and have decided to spend the day at Seaworld. Yes we really miss Shamu! I am going to be ordering our tickets on line $53.95 adult/child. Even though I would be saving a lot of money by going thru NRA, I am so against guns wouldn't be ethical for me. No flames please.

We will be staying at the Sports and will take the Mears to Seaworld. I read the price is around $16 pp roundtrip. We took that a couple of years ago to Universal and were quite pleased.

It might be cheaper to rent a car for the day since so many people in your group would like to go. Dollar has a decent daily rate, and I think they have a desk at one of the hotels in DTD. As for tickets, they offer a lot of promotions and discounts if you look around a bit. The tickets through NRA are a great deal, but if you're not a fan of NRA, you might not be comfortable with that. (and that's OK! :) )
