I've heard there is a 20% discount if you show your Southwest Airlines frequent flier card when you purchase tickets at the gate. Does anyone know if this is 20% off of both adult and child prices? If you buy online it shows $68.95 for adults and children (normally $78.95 for adults). 20% off with the southwest card from the gate price of $78.95 is $63.16 -- is it worth it to pay the extra $5 so you can print your tickets at home and have them ready when you get there? I imagine the ticket lines can be long at this time of year....

Does anyone know of a better discount?

Thanks for posting. I didn't know about the Southwest discount. I've always done the online deal for $10 off. It will take an extra 15 minutes or so if you don't already have your tickets, but if you get to the park early before they open the roller coaster section, etc. that's really no big deal. Then once your in, people who want to do the thrill rides early like Manta hang out my the next rope till that section opens.

It works we used our Southwest airlines card in March when we were there. I signed up for free on southwest airlines website before we left for our trip and printed the frequent flyer card with the number on it. Waited in line a little extra but when we got to the window the lady looked at the card and gave us the 20% discount no questions asked. There is a limit of discounts per card so make sure you get one for everybody.

Last time I checked Mousesavers for this info they said the Southwest discount ended in December.

I checked today since we are going in October, Mousesavers.com states that it is still available in 2010.

I just used the Southwest Rapid Rewards discount the first week of January, 2010. On the day we were there (1/3/10) we had no wait in line to purchase tickets .......however, that could be due to the fact that the temp that day was 48 degrees and blustery.........certainly didn't feel like Florida. I'm quite certain the line at the ticket windows is longer when the weather is better......since I've waited 20 to 30 minutes in the past.......however, the only way to get the SWA discount is at the window. I believe it's either 4 or 5 tickets you can purchase with one Rapid Rewards card.

Do you know if this discount is valid at Aquatica?
Or for a combined SW/Aqutica ticket?

We went on a Saturday last May...May 2nd to be exact..and there was no line at the ticket window at opening and I used my RR card.

My Rapid Rewards 'card' is just a color print out from the email Southwest sent me - is that the 'card?'

Does anyone know if the rewars card will give you a discount on an annual pass?

I heard the discount only applies to single day tickets - not multi-park tickets (which SeaWorld already considers discounted) or annual passes. I am not sure if the discount works at Aquatica for a single day ticket.

When I went I purchased a single day ticket with the discount, and was able to come back again the next day (I think you could go back again within 7 days). Not sure if they still have that promo going on.
