We will be in the area and it is included in the City Pass so we thought we would make a visit to Sea world.
Well, which day of the week would be the best?
Sat. June 30th
Sun. July 1st
Mon. July 2nd
Tues. July 3rd
Wed. July 4th

I was kinda thinking July 4th might be too busy since it is a holiday but if they have special fireworks then it might be worth it.

Please give me your thoughts friends!

Summers are obviously busier than the rest of the year. I've never been on the 4th of July, but I'm sure it's packed. However, if you want to go just to see the fireworks you can see them outside the park. A lot of people will go to Fiesta Island or Mission Bay for the day, have a barbecue, and watch the fireworks from there, but that gets really crowded too. The weekend and July 4th will be open until 11, while Monday and Tuesday will be open until 10. So you'll get the advantage of an extra hour if you choose to go June 30th, July 1st, or July 4th, however they will also be much busier. I would suggest going either July 2nd or 3rd.

Sea World does special fireworks for the 4th of July, it used to be one of the largest Displays in Southern California; however, I think Disney has been giving them a run for the money the last few years.

As for crowds, I honestly am not too sure, as we have Platinum passes and simply utilise the reserved seating and I have never had a day where I couldn't go on all of the rides and go to all of the shows that I wanted to.

Also, it should be noted that Platinum passes are valid at all of their U.S. parks, except Discovery Cove, although you only get the reserved seating and Preferred parking at the park that you bought the pass at. There are additional benefits as well, including discounts, etc.

My suggestion is to look into it if you live near one of their other parks. Also, starting June 2nd, they will start offering early entry to their passholders to ride Manta.

Avoid, Avoid, AVOID the beach area on the 4th. Yes the fireworks are great but SW shoots them off every night anyway. The crowds leaving the beach area will only frustrate you. JMHO though.
