Sea World or Water park

I know this is sort of an apples vs. oranges choice, but wanted your opinions on going to Sea World vs. a water park as a way to break up WDW park-hopping.

We were in San Diego last summer and thoroughly enjoyed Sea World. However, we feel that going to Sea World in Orlando just wouldn't be the same as that
first "magical" visit in San Diego. Plus, there's the hassle of transportation.

What do you think?

We loved SeaWorld in Orlando, and we love waterparks too (tried Typhoon Lagoon).

If you're trying to break up the WDW park thing for kids, go to a waterpark on a non-crowded day. If they go to a waterpark where they face just more crowds and lineups and craziness, it won't break up the routine.

SeaWorld will seem just like another theme park to them on any day - afterall, it is. It was my 7 yr old daughter's favourite park (above Busch Gardens, MK and AK) and also the favourite of one of her friends who went to Orlando earlier this year. Its worth seeing, but it definitely counts as a park day.

My kidS(DD 9 and DS 6) are BEGGING to do SW first when we get down there. T here is a playland inside the park called Shamu's Happy Harbour and definitely have the kids wear their suits as they can gat completely soaked there. It is not a pool tho...but depending on which days you're thinking of and seeing your past post on sleeping in the water parks can close by 10-11a.m. due to capacity. I don't know about you but with a little one and tons of people and deep water areas it could be stressful.Seaworld also has the second day free ticket option and you could go there in the early part of one day and try a water park about 4p.m. or so...it may have cleared out some by then....and you can return to SW within 7 days of your 1st visit for free for as long or short as you like.I think River Country is the least expensive water park to enter and not as large or "thrilling" but maybe not as crowded either and would allow you to do both parks.Good Luck...and check out WWW.SEAWORLD.COM or the seaworld forum down below!
