I thought I would summarize the Sea World portion of our trip for those that are interested. We visited Sea World on October 17. We are DH, DD 13, DD 8, and me. My DD 13 spent 9 days in Orlando last year for the WWOHP opening, so she had been to Sea World. The rest of us had not.
I purchased a package through the Sea World website for a four night stay at the Residence Inn, tickets to Sea World, all day dining at Sea World, tickets to Busch Gardens, and all day dining at Busch Gardens. The total cost for that was around $800, which I thought was good considering we are technically 3 adults one child.
We checked in to the Residence Inn on Westwood Blvd. Sunday evening, October 16. We stayed in a studio suite which had 2 queen beds, kitchenette, sofa, standard bathroom. It was very clean and had tons of room! We were able to walk to Sea World on Monday - it was about 15 minutes or so. The hotel does offer a shuttle, however, we wanted to get there before the shuttle was scheduled. The hotel also offers free breakfast with a variety of hot and cold items, and they vary from day to day.
We arrived at Sea World for opening. I had printed my tickets at home and was able to run them through the kiosk. The tickets printed for Sea World, dining at Sea World, and dining at Busch Gardens. The same tickets were used for SW and BG.
We started at Manta - it was down at park opening, so we headed over to feed the dolphins. It was $7 for five fish, and I was able to go with my DD's and not purchase fish. They allow an adult to go with the kids, and you can take pictures. They do warn you that salt water ruins your camera - just have to be careful. I paid for both of my girls to feed the dolphins, and it was very cool. The dolphins were very patient with my DD8 who was a little hesitant. I got some good pics.
We went to the Blue Horizon show after. Wow! Amazing show - not to be missed! After the show my DD and DH rode Kraken and Manta and we went to the One Ocean show. Again, very well done. There were only two shows for One Ocean that day, so it was packed. Get there early!
We ate at Seafire Inn. The food was really good, we were able to get our wrisbands for dining at the restaurant, and we had almost no wait. After lunch we did some more exhibits and did the Seymore and Clyde show. This is such a fun show.
We were able to see everything and ride all of the rides. We finished our day at Voyagers Smokehouse - again a good meal. We were there from open to close and felt like we saw and rode everything, but the park was not crowded. There were only four shows that day, and we saw three of the four. I could easily see spending another 1/2 day in the park just to go back and spend more time watching the animals. The atmosphere of the park is so laid back that it's easy to lose track of time just observing the animals. We loved Sea World and would go back again in a heartbeat.
If you have questions feel free to ask. The dining was a great deal as a part of the package.
