Just wondering if there's anything special to see that's holiday oriented there these days.

I went about ten years ago and I remember a Norman Rockwell exhibit and they had a special orchestra and a singer concert for Christmas tunes toward the evening time.

Is this still going on or anything else related to Christmas theming, now? I would assume it would be similar to last year if those individuals would be kind enough to chime in. TIA

We love Christmas at seaworld.:santa::santa::santa:

There's a huge Christmas tree at the entrance decked out in a fishy style
Shamu in his Santa hat can be seen here

The waterfront is decked out in decorations and it snows on a night.

There's a walking band called the troubadours who we love ad they play Christmas Tunes

Wild Arctic ride becomes The Polar Express - with scenes from the film replacing the usual footage - you can still either walk (the gentle route) or fly (the not so gentle route!!).

Once you disembark the plane Santa is there with his sleigh a great photo opportunity.

Theres an acapela (sp?) group dressed as the Tom Hnks character from the film performing Christmas songs outside the ride

and finally the night time Shamu show "Miracles" is amazing - Shamu a gospel choir and a saxophonist and Christmas Karaoke our fave way to spend an evening.

Thanks. I called SeaWorld and I didn't get too much info from them. You did great. I'll make sure I don't miss Miracle.

You're very welcome - we're in Orlando from 12/3/09 - 12/12/09 and plan on spending a lot of time there.

Thank you as well. I'm planning a trip to Tampa, and Orlando in December and was wonder what Sea World did for the holidays.

When do these special events start? We'll be at SeaWorld on 11/28 so I'm hoping we can see some of these things. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info! We're planning to go to Sea World one day during our Dec 9-20 trip, I didn't even realize they did special things for the holidays!

Is there any day of the week that's best to visit Sea World?

glad I found this I was just fixing to ask this very question! So cool to hear that it starts on Thanksgiving weekend, that is most likely the only chance we'll get down there this year. By chance does anyone know if Busch Gardens decorates for Christmas and if so do they start they same weekend and what do they do that is special??
Thanks!!:)

I'm so glad you asked this!
Is it out of the question to think we could go on Christmas eve day and then maybe Christmas day as well? Or no??

TIA!
:confused3

It appears there are four Christmas shows being offered including Miracles.

It appears right now it's only offered on the weekends for Sat/Sun. The park is open from 9 to 9 on the days they have the seasonal shows. It's a long day if you want to see all the shows.

Actually The Polar Express starts November 13 on weekends.

They do. This year they have Christmas on Ice at the Stanleyville theater. They have a Santa Claus breakfast. Not sure what else they have special for Christmas.

Does anyone know about what time Miracles starts? We are going one day in December, but was planning on leaving around 5 or 6pm. Would we miss this show if we left this early? Thanks!!

Saturday and Sunday only for Miracles from the way it looks right now for Thanksgiving week and the first week of December. This is how far the schedule goes right now. The key to knowing Miracles will be on are the nights the park is open until 9pm or later. The show is 7:30pm followed in another area with an ice show and fireworks at 8:30pm to close the park up.

The Sea World website shows the schedules as available.
