There are several different tours and we have done a few of them. With all of them, you get to go to non-guest areas and you have a guide that gives you more information on the animals/fish/birds there than you'll get if you just go to the shows and displays. You can ask questions and see some of them much more closely than you would otherwise. For example, we did the dolphin tour and got to feed the dolphins in the nursery.

Definitely worth it if you're very interested in marine life.

On the Behind the Scenes tour, you get to visit North Support where you can see rescued/rehabilitated animals. You will go in the back area of Shark Encounter and touch a white-spotted bamboo shark. You will get to see a polar bear den. Lastly, you will get to pet a penguin.

The tour is great, conservation-focused, and IMO, worth it. :)
