Sea Shells of Sanibel?

Hi there,

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but I couldn't find a more relevant board! Is there anyone out there who knows anything about / has stayed at the Sea Shells of Sanibel Condo rentals at Sanibel? We usually stay in a private home but for the next hol the lady who owns it has retired and will be living there full time - what a lucky woman

Anyhow, we have found this place which is in the same area as her and it looks fab and is reasonably priced. Any info would be very gratefully received!

I've not stayed at these condos, but am very familiar with the Sanibel area. There are no really poor choices there! If the rate is good for you, enjoy!

I would try to find out its exact location and long a walk to a beach they mean. Also, do they have deeded access to nearby beaches.

When are you visiting? There are so many interesting places you could stay on Sanibel or Captiva. This condo looks boring to me. Is it on the part of the island where the lighthouse is? Have you tried other parts of the island, or Captiva, which is one island North? Or even North Captiva (AKA Upper Captiva, which is one island north of Captiva and is a separate island reachable only by boat or small airplane). If you'd say more about what you are looking for, I know I would have some suggestions. The place I am most intrigued with lately is Captiva Island Inn (captivaislandinn.com). I'd love to see you make the most of your time in Southwest Florida. Another good resource is the Lee Island Coast VCB (FortMyersSanibel.com; telephone (800) 237-6444. I hope this helps! You really cannot go wrong most anywhere you stay on Sanibel, or Captiva. But I encourage you to experiment a bit!
