TSM is the one new attration since our last trip, can anyone tell me how they handle SDs there? Are the allowed on or not?

TIA!

Yes they can. Depends on the CM you get some insist that they lye down, others allow them to sit on the floor.
It spins very fast around the corner so my SD felt better between my legs, she sat for a while, they lyed down.

I just did TSM at DLR and boy does that ride whip around them corners almost as fast as a teacup. At one time they said no SD allowed but now they do.

Basically you have to think on how your dog will take a sudden right turn. some dogs have superglue type feet and can set while others might be better lying down. So ask yourself how the dog reacts to going around corners quickly.

I figure since those cars whip around so suddenly I'd never bring my SD on one. Initially they weren't allowed and I'm surprised they changed that since IMO a dog could get hurt depending on the handler's abilities and where the dog is positioned.---Kathy

They were not when it first opened, but it is a "talk to the CM about it" ride now. If you go to post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread, there are 2 links that will help you (sort of just before the line where it says "Specific Concerns or Conditions). One is a general thread about TSM and the other is a link to a youtube video of TSM.
From those, you should be able to decide if your SD would be comfortable on it or not. The ride car does a fast spin in between different games. Some may not do well on that kind of ride, so it will be up to you.

Yes, SDs are allowed - but only in the accessible (wheelchair) vehicle. So, go to the accessible line when it splits off to the right side while everybody else goes to the stairs to the left side. You may have to wait longer to get on the ride, depending on how many ppl in front of you in the accessible area (if any) need the accessible vehicle.

While the car does spin when changing from game to game and coming back into the accessible loading area (a caution for those who are ultra-sensitive to motion sickness), an SD doesn't get bopped around like you might think.

Like with every ride, some CMs may try to demand that you make the dog lay down. This is one of the rides where you should allow the dog to choose the best position.

If you have trouble pulling a string to fire the guns off, sit on the right side of the accessible vehicle, where you can hit a button on the top of the gun to fire the gun. For me, pulling the string constantly would very likely bring on my wrist pain (I tried the string, the pain started, so I immediately stopped and thankfully the pain went away), so I was still able to play the game by hitting the button with the bottom of my palm (the boney part just before the wrist) while keeping my hand straight - no pain! :)

It is a GREAT ride!! I highly recommend it.

My SD couldn't appreciate the cool 3-D effects, of course, so likely wondered what the point of the ride was! We rode it three times.

Thank God I am ambidextrous and can pull that string with either hand, lol. for me it was enough to send me into the side of the ride. Startled me and was like being on the tea cups the first time but once you prepare yourself it is fun.

there are online guides on how to get top scores.
