Was reading some Navigators from the DCL ship the Magic and saw a couple of scrapbooking events. Has anyone done one of these? Is their an additional fee? Do they provide the supplies?

I did it in 2010, so things could be different now. I was not impressed though. They had foam stickers in the center of the table for you decorate a piece of scrapbook paper they gave us. The paper wasn't very cute nor the stickers :lmao: They did sell a few things, but the items sold were also available at the store on board.

I did on the dream last summer foam stickers were given and a paper that was not very cute. They gave you done old navigators to cut up too.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed. My daughter had fun with the other kids and putting foam stickers on everything in sight though! :lmao:

last two long cruises on the Wonder there were no scrapbooking classes offered, even though we requested one from entertainment staff. On the EBPC - they did have cardmaking twice, and tilemaking, mask making, Origami 4 times, twice by entertainment staff and twice by the servers, and chracter drawing about 6 times. Ponce & JT? TJ? are so much fun.

oh dear, not looking good for classes but reading the other comments we won't be missing much!

On a slightly different note, are there any things not readily available, that can be requested for my album? On previous cruises with another line they presented us with a copy of the menu for every night as well as a ships log detailing the journey, including speed, direction, conditions etc. that are great mementoes.

I bought an album on board and brought it to Guest Services and to have it autographed by the characters (and a pillowcase for my daughter as well).

I photograph every menu (no they don't give them to you) and every morning and night I take a picture of the information channel with the map and sea conditionson it. It's the only way I can keep track of when I took what photos and ate what meal.

Oh that's a shame they don't give you any mementoes, but that's a good idea taking photo's as a consolation.
I love to take a photo at every port with the board that says the ship name, date, port and what time to be aboard for the next port - does DCL also have one of those boards near the gangway?
We last sailed DCL is 1998 and they left really cute cards in our cabin each evening, I don't suppose they do things like that anymore?

I think it depends on what is available at the time. They usually give you 2 sheets of themed paper not in the kit for sale and then Ive seen everything from nothing to stickers and flyers/navs/ and flags.
I have also found that if you are DVC and go to their desk and smmoze if they can they will give you another set. It was either that or I was just pixie dusted!
