Just got back yesterday and want to start a digital scrapbook. I usually use shutterfly but would love Disney themed pages.

Does anyone know of any online sites I can use?

Thanks!!

You can sort of make Disney themed pages on Shutterfly. You can use a picture you took as the background, I did this with several pages and it turned out really cool!
For our day at Castaway Cay I scanned the map and used it, I used a picture of the anchor where Capt Jack takes pictures as a background. For Palo I had taken a picture of the scroll divider, that turned out nice. Used pictures of the fireworks in the background for Pirate night. You can get really creative on Shutterfly now!

The Disney photopass website has photobooks. They come with a higher price tag though. :)

You could make your own pages on your computer and then upload them to Snapfish. Have you ever been to the MouseScrappers website? Lots of great ideas there!

Thanks for sharing the link. That looks awesome. I have never done any digital scrapbooking...always real paper, and supplies. However, I am intrigued by digital scrapping and think I may be more likely to keep up with it as my free time is very limited. I have a very nice macbook, but not sure where to start. Any suggestions? We have a trip to WDW coming up in 3 weeks!

I'm exactly in the same boat - trying to decide if i want to get into digital.... Everyone around seems to use the photoshop elements - but I think it's quite expensive .....

I'm now in the middle of a 30 day free trial period for "storybook creator". It's pretty user friendly if you're familiar with that type of software. It's 65$ to buy. It's thru creative memories. CM has their own digital kits.... But I was able to purchase and download a kit from a separate company/website and use it - no problem.

I'd like to piggyback this thread if the OP doesn't mind. I've got a ton of pics from our May visit to WD. My wife use to love scrapbooking (the old fashion way) bu mentioned a co-worker uses some software to scrapbook.

She really want to do a scrapbook for our most recent trip. So, do you just do it all on the PC and then print it out? Or is this literally a scrapbook on your PC? I'd like to help her with this as far as giving her her options because she isn't completely computer literate but on this subject it appears I'm not either.

To be honest I haven't printed anything yet - but the CM software I was referring to gives an option to have it printed for 3.99 a page.... I think.... USUALLY scrapbook pages are 12x12 but you can opt any size page and print it yourself - but remember, you're pics will be on the pages so you will want the entire thing printed high quality....

But my main fear is creating all if these pages and never print them out - but then, really, how is that any different than all thf books and books of scrapbooks I've made and are sitting in my basement.....

I've been digital scrapbooking for several years. I use Photoshop. You do it all on your computer and then you can print it if you like, or you can upload the pages to a service like Shutterfly and have a book made(or have individual pages printed). But you can also share them online, make copies, etc. Whatever you want to do!

YES!!!!

GO TO SCRABOOKSGONEDIGITAL.COM!

I bought a HUGE mouse bundle for 6$ it's GORGEOUS with lots of already created pages and flower clusters

Highly recommended!!

It's called: "Big Mousey Vacation Bundle" -- the disigner is: "Just So Scrappy"

I've got several kits from that designer! You can find lots of different ones though if you browse around. I usually search the digishoptalk.com forums when I am looking for something of a specific theme. Just search for Disney and you'll find some great things.

I'm not sure you'll spend less time on it - it's just as addictive ;) but digital leaves a whole lot less cleaning up to do. Worst I have is a few coffee cups after a few hours on a project :)

If you are new to digital scrapbooking, here is how I would explain it. That link is what's called a digital "kit". When people do paper scrapbooking they buy scrapbooking paper, stickers, and other embellishments to use. When you buy a digital kit like that one, you get digital "papers", and other decorative graphics to use. They are downloadable files that you can reuse.

Here's a thread of a bunch more Disney inspired kits

I use Photoshop for my digital scrapbooking, you could also use Photoshop Elements. I haven't tried any of the "scrapbook specific" programs like Creative Memories, but I think they've improved in recent years. Here are some basic Digital Scrapbooking info links.

Oh, and here's one of my digital pages

Yes.....
And Jkm - when you purchase the kit - each ribbon button/etc is it's own individual file - so when you're ready for the project you can arrange the embellishments just like you would paper cropping. But one thing that's really cool is you can adjust the size of each item - big button? Or little button - and you can use the papers and embellishments over and over..... You never run out.

As a new digi scrapper I became very overwhelmed by all the sites - so I chose one with a lot of designers/kits tutorials and a gallery and forum so I could start going to just one spot over and over. There are so many sites - yes!!

I usually do my work on Shutterfly.com. Would these elements work there?

Also, what do you guys do with your work? Do you print out one big sheet and put it in a book or do you buy books that are already bound???

I'm definately going to have to check out some of the links you posted but

I'm at work :rolleyes1
