Scott & Vicki's Art Deco Wedding and Disneymoon May 29, 2011 *Wedding Day Report!

I can't really add to the ebay chat... I have never used it. I'm one of those pay full price type of gals. :confused3

I really should look into becoming an ebay...er, lol.

Vicki, I am in love with all your ideas and creativity. The theming is perfect too. I wish I were as creative as you. You take bride on a budget to a whole other level! :worship:

Your engagement photos are gorgeous as well.

For the two different hairstyles, I was leaning more towards the second. It looks more like Tatiana, as someone else had mentioned.

Look forward to reading more about your plans! BTW: Any luck with Le Cellier??

Thanks! I am really leaning towards that style too, I have to see how my hair trials go I guess  Let me give you some advice...EBAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! for you will become addicted, lol I am just kidding, but it is a really good place to get some great deals :thumbsup2 I have tried to get in at Le Cellier again, but to no avail I guess I will have to keep trying. I have a feeling if I wait a day or two before I might be in luck so here's keeping the fingers crossed :) Btw I almost cried after I read your engagement story, it's super cute, can't wait to follow your PJ:thumbsup2

Scott and I made these about a month ago, but I forgot to post them so here they are, our movie posters starring us and the bridal party. We will be putting them up in the foyer of the theater where the ceremony will be. I will show you the pic and the inspiration right after, oh and sorry about all the blurs my friends might not like all the publicity about them you know how it is :)

Here's the one our whole wedding is themed around. In our e-pics on the marquee it says "A Love Story" starring Scott and Vicki, this concept was also on our save the dates and at the reception I will be playing a wedding trailer of us called "A Love Story" and I may be over doing it, but I also compiled all my favorite memorable lovey dovey scenes from love movies and put our first dance track behind it. We are going to play it while we do our first dance.

Hope you enjoy them as much as we did making them :)

Ok so I just realized there are some awesomely crappy photos of our reception location on the first page of my PJ! :lmao: So I decided to post some better ones.

A little better, I guess, lol

Wow, you are AMAZING! Those posters are some of the coolest things I have ever seen! I love how well you are incorporating your theme, it's going to be an epic wedding. I feel like you should be featured on one of those wedding television shows about really great theme weddings or something :)

Wow! I love the reception site!! And those posters are too cute!! You have the cutest ideas!!!

LOVE the reception site!! It looks gorgeous! Perfect for a Hollywood Vintage Glam wedding for sure!!

I love those movie posters, what editing program are you using? I have become a whiz with Paint... lol but obviously that's really nothing to brag about.. haha after all it is PAINT... haha I assume you are using photoshop? LOVE them! :)

Computer-wise, I also am a master at Paint. As far as walls are concerned, I opt for Sherwin-Williams . . . :rolleyes1

Thanks girls, you all are so funny, I have to admit my creativity doesn't go too far outside of paint either. Basically everything was my ideas and DF put them into action, he is the computer savvy one. I think he kinda got a annoyed with me because I literally stood behind him and said place that here now place this there, eventually he was like why don't you just do it yourself! :rotfl2: @sw33t_angel we did use photoshop for everything, we made a jpg of each image and then I uploaded the images to shutterfly.com and had them printed 20x30 size. When I went to David's bridal to try on dress they gave me a shutterfly gift card so I just bought it with that. We originally were going to only make one poster, but got a little carried away I guess, lol!

We just finished the template for our programs!!! Here it is:

Underneath our bios are going to be the pictures of our bridal party like in the example that I posted earlier. Our bio will be a bit longer once I get done checking for errors on the draft we made up. Forgive what typos you do see, lol.

Love the program! I like that you're using the song "Falling Slowly." I'm a big fan of that song and I'm considering using it somewhere in our ceremony. My friend is playing harp for us and she does a beautiful version of it.

What size paper are you using for your programs? I am still trying to come up with some good program ideas.

So Vicki.... when you get back from your wonderful honeymoon, you are getting to work on planning my wedding right?? :lmao:

I'm just kidding. But I really love reading your pj so much!

So I want to make a pair of custom shoes on zazzle for the "getting ready" pictures to go with my white soon to be Mrs. hoodie, but I saw some designs other people have made and I am going absolutely gaga over them! I haven't decided yet I might still custom make some with my own pictures, but these are two of my premade favorites, what do you think?

I'd love to!!!! lol You're too funny, thanks for the compliments! I have a funny story though, I am suppose to be applying to law schools next fall and I told my boss about applying and after we talked about it she said "how is the wedding planning going?" and I started telling her everything and she was said "....why do you want to be a lawyer again?" :rotfl2: She said "You should totally be a wedding planner" :lmao:

I love that song, I saw Once and I fell in love. The whole movie is full of awesome songs. We are trying to use songs in the ceremony from movies. There is one from Pretty Woman and the others are from Love Actually and 500 Days of Summer. We are using standard size cardstock, 8 1/2 X 11. I figured it was definitely the easiest route to go, no cutting! Are you having a theme for your wedding? Are you going traditional with Disney elements?

Thanks Kristi :)

We are doing a fairy tale theme, not necessarily Disney-related, though I am trying to sneak in hints of Disney! I think I'm also going to be doing regular sized paper for the programs... I was wondering if that was too small, but I think it will be fine now that I look at it.

And I guessed as much from the songs/composers that you picked... I don't know which movies all of the songs were from, but I recognized some of the names!

And another thing... I read the "fine print" of your program where your bio is, and I saw that you have a cat named Oliver. :) I also had a cat named Oliver, he was the best pet ever, unfortunately he passed away last summer. But I agree that it is a great name for a cat!

Yeah, it's the perfect size, it looks really nice, not too big or too small for what you are trying to do :) Have you thought about maybe doing fan programs. I always thought they were really cute. Something like this, and you can add hidden mickey's and stuff to it with rhinestones and stuff.

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty, I love my little Oliver, he's such sweet cat, super friendly.

Hey all I thought I would go ahead and post my bridesmaid newsletter tonight. This is the second edition of my bridesmaid newsletter. I was chatting about this with librarygeek earlier this week about a good way to keep all your bridesmaids informed about what's going on with the wedding. Since all my girls live in a different city than me I decided that doing one of these would be a good way to keep them informed. If anyone wants to do one of these it's pretty easy, you can actually find premade templates online or you can start from scratch using word or powerpoint, I used powerpoint for mine. Here is an excerpt:
