I actually saw this on a wedding site and thought it was such a cute idea so I am glad that I did it.

Not too many wedding updates this week. I took my last final exam today marking the end of my first year in grad school...didn't go too well...,but the good news is I can focus on the wedding!!!! So I am not even upset, haha! We are now 18 days until the wedding and 20 days until Disney and I can't believe it, I am super excited. I sent some of final balances to some of our vendors, so now I only have a couple more to go and we are debt free for the wedding! Now I have to focus on getting the last minute details done like the escort cards and organizing some stuff. I spoke with our DJ yesterday and we got the layout all wrapped up and everything seems to be falling into place. We are still waiting on responses from get this, 5 people... -_- it's like really peeps, if people new what a pain in the bum they were they would get those darn things in on time, lol! Oh well, I will leave them a few more pleasant messages then what is done is done. 18 more days

Yeah I don't know Becky, I might have to just hide that final exam in a box and never look at it again when I get it back it was so bad We had a list of about 30 people that didn't respond, but over the course of 2 weekends we caught up with 25 of them so not too bad. And your right college students are bad about getting back the RSVP's they were the ones that we had some trouble with

Wow! So close! We had the same problem with our RSVPs, which were due yesterday. On Tuesday, the day before, we still had 55 people not RSVPd so we had our families hunt down a bunch. And today, we're done! Woohoo! Hopefully those last couple of people will get it together!

So we went back home to tie up a few more loose ends from the wedding and had an eventful day to say the least. Myself, Scott, FMIL, and FSIL went to try out some food at the rehearsal dinner location, well...that didn't go so well. The food was less than stellar to say the least. By the end of it I think we found a couple of things we can serve to our families I think the problem with this place was that it's one of those "indie" food restaurants where everything is abstract, so every item that is on the menu has all these random things in it and that you can't even understand so I was afraid for older folks that will be ordering so Scott's mom had the great idea of making our own menus of three items that they serve on the menu and allowing people to order from that, so hopefully no one will have a problem ordering anything. Here are some pictures of the two rooms we can choose from

The place has an art gallery feel to it. It features lots of local artist's work from around town.

After the tasting we went to the ceremony site to show Scott's mom and she loved it! It was nice seeing the theater again, it had been a while. It makes everything seem so much more real

After the ceremony location we rushed off to our florist and by then we were an half hour late Not something I am proud off, but we were really busy that day, anyway when we got there our florist wasn't there Get this...She was in another city for another wedding! I was furious, I live an hour away from there, my wedding is in two weeks and I can't just drive back home for business especially when gas is almost $4.30 a gallon The receptionist got the florist on the phone and of course she was freaking out and and apologized profusely because she had forgotten about our appointment. So she told me she would call me and we would tie up everything over the phone. I am really worried that my order will be incorrect so I am going to have to make a detailed list about what I need. After the florist fiasco, I went for my hair appointment and 3 hours later we had dinner with Scott's grandparents which was really fun so that makes up for the craziness of the day. Now I am just waiting on the florist's call and we should be good to go on that front. Scott finished the photobooth so I will have to post some pictures soon as soon as I gather them, it might not be until after the wedding, but you all will get to see them I promise Lot's of last minute details to do before the big day so I will be posting a lot more in the next two weeks

As long as you've got a few items on the rehearsal dinner menu that people will like you'll be fine! A bunch of the places I was looking at that do private parties only let you have a few dishes to choose from anyway, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

I was watching Four Weddings the other night, or maybe it was last week, and there was a bride that had her wedding in a theater - it made me think of you! It looked like so much fun.

That's crazy that the florist forgot about your appointment. So unprofessional! Hopefully she will get her butt in gear for when it really matters for the wedding!
