OMG, I am so excited.
My DH and I have had reservations for 4 nights (Dec 4th-8th) at WL followed by 4 nights (Dec 8th-12th)at Pop for quite awhile.
When the AP rates for the fall came out I was able to get the discounted rate at Pop no problem. But nothing was available at WL. Yuck, I sure didn't want to pay rack rate, but had my heart set on WL, so I decided we'd just have to suck it up and pay. I tried calling back several times to see if AP rates were magically available but no luck at WL. UNTIL TODAY. The CM mentioned that weekends at this time of year are very busy, and a light bulb went off! I asked him to look for AP rates for just part of our stay.
Bingo!
Long story short, we upgraded our first night's stay at WL to courtyard view at the rack rate and were able to get the next three nights courtyard view at $137 per night plus tax. We upgraded the first night so that hopefully we won't have to change rooms. Bottom line - we now have 4 nights at the WL with a COURTYARD view for $120 less than the original 4 nights of standard view. This is so cool.
Now, does anybody have any ideas for room requests?
