Scooters left at bell hop at Disney hotels not allowed from November

I just got a call from sunmobility scooters to say that from November Disney no longer were allowing their non preferred scooter partners to leave scooters guests have rented at bell hop at Disney hotels. To get around this you have to meet your scooter when it arrives and meet the pick up person when it gets picked up. Not sure who the preferred partners are but obviously not sunmobility!

Thin sounds like what their doing in wdw with out aide rental company's.
