DH and I are leaving in two weeks and staying at the Caribbean. I have read about the construction and noise in some areas of the resort. I'm wondering if anyone has been there recently and had difficulties with getting around on scooters or problems with noise. Noise is a real anxiety problem for me. thanks for your help..

Our daughter and her husband stayed there over the Marathon weekend and we were there quite often -- no problem at all with noise. I have no comment on mobility problems though. Sorry.

Maybe you should call WDW and ask them about where the construction is and that you need to be far away from it due to your disAbilities..
I bet the room assigner can set you up away from the noise..
Have a great trip!

Are certain resorts better for less noise than others? Is there any we should avoid?

Well we are back now since I started this thread and we had no problems scooting around our village in fact we scooted all the way around the lake, and we heard no construciton noise. Did hear some cheerleaders across the lake though : )

Disney does not allow construction crews to work at/near any of the Resorts when people are expected to be asleep.
