Hello!
I am travelling to WDW with my mom for the first time next week. We are very excited! My mom uses a mobility scooter at home and we were hoping to rent one there.
Does any one have recommendations for reputable companies?
I was planning on using Scootaround but have heard mixed things. It would be good to hear what other people think.
Thank you!
Danielle

Scooter bug is booked until May, gold has availability at present and has the most included extras and best prices if you are going for about a week or more. Not sure if Buena Vista has availability at the moment or not.

Ultimately, book ASAP with whatever crazy you want to go with.

I always highly recommend Gold Mobility also for quality and service level. Who ever you reserve with I wouldn't wait a minute to get it reserved.

Highly recommend Gold Mobility. Only downside is that you have to meet them for drop off/pick up, but the customer service and quality of the scooters make up for it. We gave Buena Vista 3 tries, had beat up looking scooters, and on 2 separate trips had scooters break down on us while in the parks. Never again.
Tried Scooterbug for my in-laws because we would not be able to meet them for drop off. Rented 2 scooters. Not only had they seen better days, but they were the slowest things I have ever seen. No power whatsoever. Fully charged, on rabbit speed all the way, and I think my 87 year old MIL could have walked faster. Nope.
We have now used Gold 3 times, zero issues, with new looking scooters. We will only rent from them from now on.

Agreed it's really a far more superior service.

I've rented with 3 different companies over the years. I remember that when I first heard about Gold Mobility, I said to myself "It sounds too good to be true", and I was going to wait a little longer. But just before my trip, I kept hearing so much, I broke down and rented from them. So glad I did!

We are on our 3rd rental this week of 2-4 scooters per rental for our group and never had a single issue with Gold.

Where can scooter's be re-charged in the parks - in case the battery life dies during the day?
First, as long as you remember to recharge your scooter every night, you shouldn't need to recharge during the day. But if you do, or if you're like me and forget to recharge one night, just about every rest room (at least in MK and Epcot have an electric outlet as you enter in every restroom. And since there are no doors on the restrooms, just position the ECV facing out, and you can watch everyone go by, read a book, listen to music, whatever. Been there, done that! And in AK, near the exit from the "Finding Nemo" show, there are outlets against the wall to the right, across from the restrooms. And since the show's not running right now, it's a nice peaceful area.
