Scooter rental in Port Canaveral

I just spoke with Scootaround and Special Needs at Sea for my mother-in-law and both noted delivery to the DCL terminal. I called DCL Special Services to confirm and they confirmed that the scooters are delivered outside the terminal, prior to security and are available there for embarkation. Does anyone have recent experience with this?

We were on the FANTASY two weeks ago and there were numerous ECV's, from various vendors, with name placards parked along the wall prior to entering security. This is a welcome change for those who rent, since as was mentioned, they used to be delivered to the cabins.

It has been several years but we used Brevard Medical for wheelchairs for both MIL and FIL when cruising out of Port Canaveral. The chairs were delivered to the cruise terminal. I seem to recall that we had to show our 'order' confirmation to claim the 2 wheelchairs so that DH and I could go upstairs to pickup the chairs, bring them back down to the folks. At this point in time they could manage short distances slowly with their walkers. Basically, we had them wait seated on their walkers, while we retrieved them. Brevard Medical was great to work with and the rental chairs were in excellent condition.

But as I started with this was several years ago so perhaps they have changed the pick up rules for rental equipment.
