Scooter Charging

I am renting an off site scooter for my upcoming trip. It will come with a charger. The representative said that it would run between 6-8 continuous hours. Even with stopping for meals and rides, I'm worried about finding a location in the parks to recharge the battery. Does anyone know of places where this can be done? Thanks.

there are more places then you think that you can charge your scooter.
1 bathrooms often have plugs
2 stores ( the one by space monition near the back has about 50 outlets) or any other store for that mater
3 there are a few phone charging station around but you could plug your scooter in to.
4 ask a CM they will have more ideas
5 maybe first aid and you can even rest some too.

Just make sure you are not blocking access while you are charging your scooter. For example, the phone charging area near Rapunzel's Tower is not scooter friendly. One scooter in there blocks access to the rest of the area, as there are tables and nooks and crannies throughout.

Would people really go sit in a bathroom for a few hours while their scooter charges? Or do you mean you go leave it in there? I'd think that would be a code issue?

I forgot where but I have seen people charging there ecv in the bathroom they were where you enter off to the side not sure if a CM would tell you to leave but there was enough room for at lest 1 ecv to get buy

I have been able to charge my scooter battery at several places in WDW. If you can park the scooter and remove the battery, it's easier and less obtrusive, so that is what I do. In Epcot I have charged my battery in the gift shop outside of Test Track, and in the Japan pavilion. At Downtown Disney Marketplace, we were at Wolfgang Puck Express for dinner so I left my scooter outside and plugged the battery into an outlet on a pillar near our table. I've also charged the battery in MK but I can't remember where.

Any restaurant should have an outlet you can use. Just ask a CM. sometimes you'll get the "deer in the headlights" look, but the CM can go ask a mgr to get permission. We plugged in at the waiting area in the Coral Reef restaurant while we had dinner. Another day we recharged outside a restaurant at Downtown Disney. IIRC it was at the T-Rex Café.

If you turn off the ECV when you park while you go on a ride, eat, or just sit during a show, or a line isn't moving, you'll save a lot of battery power.

I have been fortunate to have a spare battery for my personal scooter, but I did actually see another guest charging his scooter once during Hoop De Doo - he parked it over by the wall, and plugged it in.

I've noticed that often there are outlets that just kind of "blend in" at WDW - they are, after all, masters of illusion! :) Ask a CM at any attraction, show, or eatery - and custodial CMs are often an amazing source of information - they know WAY more than just where the closest trash can is! :)

Thank you all so much, lots of great information. It sounds like I will have no problems with charging the scooter at WDW!

Actually, if you remember to turn it off when you aren't driving, you may not even have to charge your scooter. When you are in line or just sitting someplace, shut the power off and it really saves the batteries.

CM's, especially maintenance CM's, should be able to direct you to the nearest outlet if you end up needing it. Two that I remember are in the MK - one in the arch under the train station and one by the newsstand outside the gates. We also found quite a few in flowerbeds in EPCOT (Future World).
