Do they offer the cheeseburgers at dinner or only at lunch? I checked on Deb's site and it only listed hamburgers at lunch. Has anybody ordered a cheeseburger for dinner there?

It isn't listed but you can order cheeseburgers. I found this out the hard way after I ordered and disliked my chicken sandwich for dinner. Actually the chicken sandwich made me sick a few hours after I ate it!

Most places are very accomodating as far as getting you something for dinner that was on their lunch menu.
I can't specifically state the cheeseburger is available, but I would sure think a malt, burger, and fries would be an option at any time there.

I have read other posts that said you may order a burger for dinner. I have also read LOTS of things that say the food at Sci-Fi is barely edible. Armed with this knowledge we are STILL going there for dinner one night because DS adores all sorts of cheesy horror and sci-fi movies. The UG actually suggests only having dessert if you are going to go there. We will probably get burgers and fries. If they are truly inedible we will send them back and eat at the resort later.

Thanks for all the help! We have eaten the cheeseburgers for lunch and really liked them so I was hoping that it would be a choice for dinner.

This is good to know! My brother was refusing to go to there for dinner as he thought he couldn't get a burger (picky eater!!) So now I can convince him to go for dinner instead!!!

The atmosphere and cheesy 'B-movie' trailers are great. I wouldn't venture much further than the cheesburgers on the menu as I too am not impressed with the food here. Also, they have good milk shakes........enjoy!

You can order the cheeseburger off the kids menu at anytime. It is a really large serving- and the cost is better! I thought the food there was okay and very overpriced.

We wanted to take the kids but I keep hearing how awful it is! Maybe we should just go for milk shakes mid afternoon? Anyone know if you can use their milkshake as a 'snack' on the dining plan?

We went a couple years ago and from what I remember, the food was OK. It was kinda cool, but the "tables" in the cars were really narrow and it was dark in there, which kind of made it a little hard to eat. I would choose 50's Prime Time over Sci-Fi any day.

We just went a few weeks ago. The kids liked their meals- one had a hamburger and the other grilled cheese. I had the pasta with shrimp- the shrimp was really good and fresh, the sauce was so- so. My dh had a steak. He said it was ok but a little overcooked. We also had the spinch dip appetizer-it was pretty good.
LLagow :moped:

We've been once and we really did *NOT* like it! As a previous poster stated, the tables in the cars are really small. Plus the movie trailers just play over and over and over, and that gets really old. Our burgers were *not* very good (way over done), and over all it wasn't a fun experience at all. We haven't been back. We definitely prefer '50's, and go there nearly every trip.

However, Sci-Fi gets a ton of positive reviews on this board, so I guess everyone has his or her own experience. Ain't life grand? :p

Sci Fi Diner is must for me. I've been going every year for the past 6 and while the food has gone downhill (except the burgers, which I always like) I go more for the atmosphere. We (our group of 11) went this past Sept. and we all had burgers, shakes and fries and were all very happy with our order. I had tried the ham and swiss on pretzel bread 2 years ago and it was wonderful and then tried it again 1 year later and it was awful! So now I just stick to the burgers and shakes and always enjoy the atmosphere. Some complain that it is dark but it is supposed to be a Drive-In, so duh! it is going to be dark. JMHO. Enjoy! :smooth:

Ordering something off menu can be dangerous. My teenage son ordered a cheeseburger at dinner, and it was not good. I did not realize it was way overdone until the rest of us were pretty much finished. He's a bottomless pit, and he didn't finish it.

I have been to both only just once but I must say that the Primetime blew away Sci-Fi in Food, Service and Atomosphere. The Sci-Fi is cool for the first 10-15 Min but then gets old and stale really fast. Couldn't they at least have enough movies clips not to replay them 4 or 5 times during one seating? This coming from someone who loves corny movies like that. Primetime was fun and the servers seemed more "into it" that at Sci-Fi. If I had to choose between the two, I have no doubts that I would go to the Primetime again and never go back to Sci-Fi, the food really was substandard, and I like bugers and such.
