Hello:
We have reservations for this restaurant in a couple of weeks. However, I have been warned that the food is not great but to go for a milkshake. If you have been there, what milkshakes do they offer and what do you recommend?

Thanks!

In my universe a milkshake has to be chocolate, but I'm sure that other posters will have their favorites too. We've been to Sci-Fi for lunch and enjoyed it, especially on a hot summer day. We had the cheeseburger and reuben and both were good.

We always get chocolate milkshakes. The burgers and onion rings are great too!

We have plans to go to Sci-Fi on our very first trip in Nov. Would the milkshakes be included as dessert on the Deluxe Dining Plan?

Tks,
Stacy

I was on the DDP (not the Deluxe) and our server told us we could get a milkshake as our drink or as a dessert. We opted for Dessert and they even gave us to go cups in case we wanted to leave and walk around

Sci-Fi offers four milkshake flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and Oreo cookie. Chocolate seems to be the most popular on the boards, but I'm sure they are all delicious. This restaurant doesn't do much particularly well, but milkshakes are one of the nice exceptions.

We also got Chocolate and LOVED it!! I also liked their onion rings and burger . YUM!!

I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!

Love the Oreo/cookies 'n cream shake there. Get one every time we go.

The Oreo one is super yummy! But we've also always enjoyed our meals at Sci-Fi. DH loves their chili, burgers and onion rings, and I like their club sandwich, Italian chicken sandwich, burgers and onion rings.

I love the chocolate shake and their onion rings! We have always been able to get them as our drinks as well;)

My oldest dd loves their chocolate shakes.....I always get the cheesecake, because...well I get the cheesecake everywhere LOL I like Sci Fi though, we eat there every year....I like the Reuben and we like their appetizer dip too. My husband always gets some kind of BBQ and the kids usually settle for chicken or burgers.

I got the chocolate and DH got the oreo and they were both ab fab! Although, I thought the burgers we had for dinner were perfectly fine, and the onion rings were good. I hated the cucumber-melon salad - it was so bland and seemed like someone watched Food TV and tried to get creative but FAILED miserably. It needed some acid or something b/c it was flavorless.

I just want to say that we have always enjoyed the food here. It is a must every trip. DH and I love the cheeseburgers and DD loves the ribs. If I get a shake it's always chocolate.

We've eaten at Sci-Fi twice and had very good meals both times. The burgers are tied with The Plaza's for the best on property, IMO. The chocolate and Oreo shakes are yummy!!

Agree that we've always had good food at Sci-Fi. I like chocolate milk shakes but doubt you can go wrong.

yep, the shakes are fabulous!! My husband and I always share an Oreo shake! We've always enjoyed the food too. You can go healthy or not so healthy...(onion rings!) It's all good. :thumbsup2

Who says milkshakes aren't healthy??? ;)

Skip the shake altogether, get a soda or whatever and get the hot fudge sundae for dessert!! :thumbsup2

We have lunch ressies for Scifi for our upcoming trip just for the desserts. I have heard about how yummy the shakes and sundaes are that we just couldn't help ourselves but go. It is gonna be our only OOP food since we are on the QSDP but I think it is gonna be worth it. :worship:
