Sci Fi - lunch or dinner

Have you been to the Sci Fi before and was it for lunch or dinner - did you enjoy it?

I have dinner booked for our October trip - even though we'll only be there 6 days, we may do a Universal park one day. If so, it'll mean switching our dinner reservation to lunch on a different day (oh, and missing out AK)

I prefer the lunch menu. Its cheaper and I love burgers and reubens. I haven't personally eaten dinner, just know by looking at the menus on Allears that lunch looks more to our liking. I also see better reviews coming from lunch goers. It is a favorite of ours, we love the atmosphere and the food!

P.S. Really hope you don't have to miss out on AK, its a great park, especially in the morning when its cooler. We like it a little bit more each visit. So much to do at WDW, thats probably why we have yet to visit Universal! Hopefully someday!

Definitely go for lunch! We went for dinner one time and have been for lunch four times. Lunch is much better! The main appeal at Sci Fi is the theming; the food is not always the greatest and gets mixed reviews. The exception is the burgers, which are very yummy. The shakes are also delicious. The fries and onion rings also get good reviews. Everything else gets mixed reviews, more bad than good. The burgers are on the lunch menu but not the dinner menu. The one time we went for dinner I really wanted a burger so they let me order one even though it wasn't on the menu, but that was the only bad burger I've ever had there. The burgers are usually juicy and tasty, but that one at dinner was dry and tough.

Going for lunch and sticking with the burgers and shakes is the best way to enjoy Sci Fi!

I've been to both lunch and dinner and enjoyed both. For dinner in May, I had the fried catfish which was edible but very dry, but DH's shrimp pasta was VERY good! The burgers at lunch are good, as well.
