school's cancelled for the REST OF THE WEEK!!!!!

I am still laughing hysterically! Here in Loudoun county (va), school has been cancelled for the rest of the week!!!! I'm going to be generous and assume that western loudoun is still digging out of more than 30 inches of snow, but we got 25-26 and I can see the street again! what am I going to do with dd for the rest of the week? All the other counties are at least going day by day..... Arrrggggghhhhh!!!! maggie

A couple of years ago, we had a week out of school. By day #4, I called all the SAHMs on the street and we had a pitch-in with whatever we had on hand.

I made my dining room "adults only", 'cause we were all going crazy from being snowed in. The kids had the rest of the house. We had an interesting mix of foods but lots and lots of fun.

Is there a volunteer project that you could get her to do? Make cards for nursing homes? bake cookies for shut-in neighbors? clean her room..... every square inch of it?!?!?!

OK.... well.... maybe the last one is too much......
