School Dance favors Help!!

I am in charge of the school FAMILY dance. The children will be recieving crayons, activity pad and light up neckalces for the night. My ? is what shoudl I give as a take home favor? Just wanted some opinions. What would you like if you went to a dance? Chocolates, candy, ? The dance is a sweetheart dance so we are using hearts, red, etc.. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Is this for a younger age group? Conversation hearts or red hershey kisses?

Personally, I usually don't care for favors. Rarely do they even make it out of the car when we get home. Hopefully, that doesn't make me sound like a horrible person. Maybe take a digital picture of ever family as they walk in? You could have a digital printer set up to print them right there.

This is a elementry school dance. Grades pre-k - 6th. Wide age range and the kids are already getting goodies. I was thinking a little something for parents/families.

A mug or cup or water bottle with the school logo on it? It can be a red one, with the logo in white so that it matches the 'theme'.

You can look at the promotional stuff at vistaprint.com for more ideas as well. Not sure what your budget it.

But, really, parents don't need to take home 'junk'. So if you can't afford something they might really use, just save the money...put it toward new books for the library.

Thank you!! keep them coming. The children will be getting glow necklaces and acivity pads with crayons. We have photographer coming so families can purchase pics.

Maybe picture frames since you are trying to sell the pictures? What about bagels as a take home (for breakfast the next morning). This is a big hit at weddings around here, they give them out on the way out of the party.

candy would be fine. I really dont need any thing to take home. A mug or anything like that goes right in the garbage or garage sale box.

We always did the picture frame idea with an area decorated with balloons to take the picture. Also a nice backdrop from a sheet and paper hearts etc. We did not print out the pictures at the dance (everyone deserves to have some fun) and sent them home with the students.

This can also double for place cards for the tables. The frames can be used to put a picture of the child or the last name.

**Centerpiece's that are really nice are cheap bowls with conversations hearts inside. I guess when my kids were in primary school, we didn't think much about spreading germs etc, but they looked really nice and at the end of the night the candy was usually gone and you didn't get the mad rush to "get" a centerpiece to take home.

If you have a Dollar Tree Store I'm sure you'll find something there that would be doable.

At our school family dance (Halloween Time) we always decorate with tons of helium balloons hanging from the ceiling with long curly ribbon. The kids run around with them and everyone takes one home. So it's a two-fer, decoration and take home fun!

Ballons, get the tank and ballons at SAMS, or filled at Party city, They can be the decoration then take it home.
