I'm starting to hear concerns about 4 teenage boys sleeping in two double beds in the rooms at the AS resort. (I've not heard comments from the girls, so far) I called the resort and asked about rollaways, and was told they are not available for that resort (?) I asked about bringing a twin sized air mattress and was told that would be fine, and housekeeping would even provide the extra linens.

But then I looked at some online pictures of the rooms. It doesn't look to me like there is much floor space left! Does anybody know if 2, or even 1 will air mattress fit in there? Is the furniture "moveable" to make a little extra space?

Does anyone know where I might find a floor plan or layout of the rooms, online? Maybe that would give me a better idea.

Also, from the pictures it looks like the dresser might have two small drawers and maybe two big ones? Anybody been there and remember?

Any tips on making 4 teens and all their stuff fit would truly be welcomed :teeth:

As always, thanks for any help!

yes it is small but we did fine......a twin mattress should fit down the middle or move the bed over and you can place it closer to the door.....remember sometimes they do put a crib in the rooms for babies...so there is room on that side.....we had no problems with the drawers.......bring some clothespins and hang up some of the stuff too........we made out fine.......hope you do too

My son did 4 in a room with his marching band in high school at WDW. From what I remember him telling me, all the band equipment was kept on the bus and they only brought their personal stuff into the room.

Actually he jokes that there was MORE room there than his current dorm room he shares with 4 other guys!

my ds just got back from a church trip where 4 boys were suppose to share 2 double beds. When they got to the hotel they all said "No Way!!" Ds slept on a chair for 2 nights. I have no advise to give, but just wanted to add that boys do seem to have a problem with this where girls don't seem to mind at all. (next trip I am either going to offer to pay more to keep it at 2 to a room or pay to have a roll-away added if I can) good-luck

I've run into the same problem when I've chaporoned overnight trips. The girls may not like sharing a bed, but they'll do it. The guys would rather be shot. The air mattress idea might work. My high school boys actually take sleeping bags. They sleep in their sleeping bags under the blanket, usually taking the comforter off. Evidently it's fine to sleep in the same bed with another guy if there's not chance you might touch each other during the night. Thin sleeping bags seem to work just fine for this purpose.

That's what I'm afraid of! So we thought we'd try to handle it with the air mattresses, so the boys could all have their own beds. These kids have long days and performances, and don't need restless nights because they are sleeping on the bare floor. Now we are trying to figure out if two of the mattresses will fit in the room. The mattresses could be stood up on end during the day to allow walking through, and just put back down again at night.
