Hey where did the Operation Iraqi Freedom board go? Can anyone update me on:
LCPL Mike Perkins, USMC
CPL Robert Knight, USMC
PFC Titus Tubb, 101st ABN ARMY
SPC Sneider, 101st ABN ARMY
TSGT. Bill Connolly, 111th Air Force
SPC. Jeffery S. Hendrix, ARMY
I havent heard anything lately, and are praying they are finally home. My oldest DD had 2 of her friends about 2 months ago. These guys where just kids! (Well, to me anyone under 25 is a kid)
A couple days ago I got yellow tag from the post office saying I had a package and I needed to go get it. I nearly fainted when I noticed my last name as the sender. I really got scared over it because I KNEW I never sent anything over that I wasnt suppost to and of course, I immediatly over-reacted. I didnt say anything to my family about it and was just going to leave it there because I was freaked out about it. Well, then DH checked the mail and saw a third notice slip for it. He asked me about it and I tried to confuse him by looking at him with a dumb look and said "You checked the mail?" This did no good in distarcting him because he still wanted to know, and I didnt have anything sparkly to throw on the floor, so I just looked at him and said, "I can't go get it."
Well, being a the great man he is, he ran out to see if I had a flat tire or if there was a flood he was unaware of or something. And after long painful thought, he finally relized I was scared of this stupid yellow slip, because it could be the bearer of bad news, and he knows I am an over-reacter so he left me alone about.
Well, the post office just couldn't leave me alone about it, and dropped it on my front door.
((BIG DEEP BREATH)) So...Here is this squished up care package facing me and I was like "OH COME ON NOW!" and I just couldn't look at it right away. (Did I mention that I sometimes over-react?) When I finally did, I was so relieved to find out it was Fred Dodd's and the reason it came back was because he was home! I cried for about an hour, said hundreds of Thank you's to God, and took my family out to dinner.
I am hoping that with news about the others, I can do more crying, thanking and EATING!
