Scanning eTickets into Disneyland App

Hello, I’m wanting to scan 3 eTickets into my DL App so they can be linked. I have a printed out eTickets from AAA with barcodes, that we will exchange at the park entrance once we arrive for a real ticket. Am I able to scan the printed out ticket now, at home, or do I need to wait until I get my real ticket at Disneyland? I’m a bit tech. wary, .

I scanned mine without problems. I’d just recommend to note the name of each person to whom you assign the ticket in the app to minimize later confusion (e.g. for juggling FPs & such). I jotted down each of the names on the printout, when I scanned them at home, & then matched them up with our family members when scanning in on our first park day.

Also, you can scan all of the tickets into multiple accounts, which is a good idea in case one person's account goes wonky or the phone dies.

Just to piggyback on the OP's question, if you have an upcoming reservation (without paper tickets), is there any way to connect the tickets to your app before you arrive? Or must you scan them in after checking into the hotel and actually receiving the physical tickets?

Without having either the ticket or a ticket voucher/eTicket to scan, I don't know how you would do this. That said, it takes all of 10 seconds to scan tickets into the app and assign a name to them so I wouldn't stress about it too much.
