When I scan something I always get a light gray background when I print it out. It changes the color on what ever I print. Drives me nuts when I try to do a paper piecing. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Is this normal?
If it is my scanner I will by a new one, any suggestions?

Can't say that I have experienced this regularly.

Check your settings - I know mine gives me the options of text (and that will give me that sort of grayish background on certain things like when I scanned Navigators).

But if I set mine (an HP) to photo it doesn't do that. DH (my tech expert) said it is the pigment of the paper that the scanner is picking up. Yea, whatever.

Try checking that. If it still does it not sure what the cause would be.

Thanks FantasticDisFamily,

I will have my hubby try changing settings. I am scanner impaired.
I hate to say it but I think your hubby could be right, I notice that it is worse when I copy from a coloring book..................Gail
