It has been brought to our attention that there has been at least one recent attempt to defraud a potential renter by someone who just joined the DIS and does not have enough posts or a rental plan to post on the DVC Rent/Trade Board. The potential renter had posted a reservation request in a valid rental thread and was then solicited via PM with the attempted scam transaction.
If you are contacted by anyone where you have not posted in their rental thread on our Rent/Trade Board or contacted them via PM initially, please let @CarolMN, @Chuck S or me know. Do not send them any money or provide personal information.
