Sorry if this has been asked before! We're going to Disney next month and I was wondering about scrapbooking supplies. I know there are things available at Disney, but is there anywhere else I can find Disney-themed paper and things? I'd like to have a Mickey-head punch (guess that's what it's called, it's just Mickey's head, lol), and things like that, mostly basic things.

Is there a benefit of buying things while at Disney, or would I be ok to wait until I get back home and see what my pics look like? I HATE buying a bunch of great stuff, then finding out it doesn't go with my pics!

Thanks!

Steph

I think the general rule of thumb with the disney scrapbook stuff at the parks is if you see it and you even remotely think you might use it, buy it there because it isn't available anyplace else. However, you can buy stuff online or at your local scrapbook store. Ek success and sandylion are coming out with some pretty cool looking stuff which should be out anytime now. you could try www.mousememories.com for scrapbook stuff. have a great trip! maggie

I have purchased from MouseMemories and StickersGalore. Both were awesome. Very quick shipping and wonderful products. MouseMemories is in Florida...I seen on their website last night, that they don't have internet right now. Orders will be processed soon as they do. StickersGalore is out of Saginaw, MI, very convenient for me.;) I think it took them a day to send my last order. I was so surprised to get it that fast.

Bigbabyblues........PLEASE take my advice, if you see something at Disney you "think" you might use, BUY IT!! I made the big mistake of not buying anything while I was there in June thinking that when I got home I could find the same things and cheaper. Well, ya can't. See my post "Scrappin friends...can I vent". Yes, you might be able to find some of the stickers from SandyLion and maybe some of the paper, but I have had a really hard time finding anything else. JoAnne's and Hobby Lobby seem to have the best selection around here. However, I couldn't find any punches, scissors, and very little paper. I would suggest going to your LSS and see what they have and buy it from them. Then write a list of what you think you might use and get it when you're in Disney. Also think about what Parks you will go to and what your kids like. For example if you have girls, you know you'll want alot of the Prncess stuff but if you have boys you probalby won't need as much. I have all girls and they aren't much into Buzz Lightyear or Pirates of the Caribbean. But they're NUTS about Mickey, Minnie, and the Princesses. Also think about what rides and shows you plan to do and focus on that. Of course you have no idea how your prictures will turn out until you're there but think about what you want your album to look like when you are taking them. If you're going to do a Character breakfast, look for sb items geared to the characters you will be seeing. If your children love Goofy, go ahead and buy Goofy stickers. If you're going to one of the water parks look for water park stickers; they don't HAVE to be Disney. If you're going to Animal Kingdom, go ahead and get some "safari" type paper and die cuts. As someone suggested to me, look out of the box.

If you get home and realize you should have bought this or that, there are some great scrap sites you can check out. Of course mousemeories.com is a great one but I found they are higher priced than some other sights altho they do offer a better selection. GoneScrappin.com, Scrapbooks.com and Scrapyourtrip.com are other good sites. I reallly like scrapyourtrip. Not only do they have Disney vacations they also have Sea World, Universal, Beach, Cruise, Mountain and other destinations.

Good luck and have fun!!

Thanks for the sites and info!!!

I looked at the sites and put some things on my wishlist, so I can easily find them again. We have a new LSS in our (tiny) town, I'm going to go see what she has as well, and I bought the Done with One thing from CM. I think when I'm at Disney I'll go ahead and get what I really like, and the rest I'll fill in when I get back. I found the Mickey head punch on one of the sites (Mousememories???), I may order it, just to get started!!!

I have found mickey punches at Micheals craft store here in Columbus, OH area and also Cm has a Disney snap pack, a pooh and friends, mickey and friends packs These are in addition to Done with one you already have. Also if you have a CORD Camera near you some of them are scrapbok stores and have lots of cute stickers/paper from sandylion. Hope this gives you some local ideas.

making memories has a safari type pack of paper, I just bought it at my lss probably 2 weeks ago, tiger stripe, zebra, giraffe, lepard stripe and random cow pattern (which actually would work great for toy story and jesse). I think the pack was around 6$. maggie

I agree if you see things at Disney purchase them. I purchased somethings in February that are exclusive to Disney.

Craft stores are carrying more and more Disney items but there are still those items that can't be found anywhere but Disney.

I wasn't too impressed with stuff at Disney but I did buy some of it. There is quite a variety at other SB stores though. Keep looking around. Every where I go I look up the SB stores and have a look.

If you will be renting a car while at Disney, there is a store called Scrapbook Boutique near the Florida Mall that has, of course, lots of Disney stuff.

I think there is plenty out on the market for you to fill your album with!!

Have fun!

Thanks for the links!

Fire14-I'm 2 hours south of Columbus, be there is a Michael's about 45 minutes from me, might have to look there!

Thanks to those of you who have posted that you received yours!!! I love them, too!!!

Enjoy!!!

I have yet to take my first Disney picture but I'm obsessed with Disney SB supplies in anticipation of our January Cruise! :earboy2:

Well, I just HAD to have the mickey head decorative scissors. So I found them on ebay. There are several ebay stores that have Disney SB items direct from Disney. You definitely pay a bit more because of their mark up, but if you get home and really have to have an item you didn't pick up, you may not mind the extra buck or two!

I was extremely pleased with what I bought.
