I've just done my first journal box with my computer. I was wondering if I need to worry that my printer isn't archival quality? I just printed it out on carstock then I put it on CM paper. Do you think that's good enough? I don't/can't get a different printer.
I love the look of the journal box and I'm planning on doing this whole trip like that.

Thanks for you thoughts/advice!:D

I think probably (and I have no facts to back this up) most printers have ink that is not archival quality. But I think the only way it could hurt any pictures is if you printed on a picture. I have used computer journaling and have not had any problems with it fading or anything.

Now you can get addicted to collecting fonts! :D

Epson makes several printers that use archival inks that will last a very long time.

You can get one for under $100. Look for the printers that use pigmented inks.

Any ink used in a scrapbook that is keep in dark storage will last longer than pictures hanging on a wall.

Epson also makes several sizes of scrapbooking paper which will increase the archival life.

For archival information a great source is.
