Saying hello to lady Liberty on our way to the WORLD! .... Pre-Trip Report

(I started this before and it never got moved so I am going to try again.....)

So I am a huge lurker on here. I love reading everyone’s pre-trip and trip reports! I figured it’s about time that I start my own.

So my family and I usually visit WDW once a year at the end of August. Last year we were lucky enough to visit the World 3 times. My husband and I were married there in October of last year. (Trip report in my signature, still a work in progress) Anyways this years trip is a little different then every other year. We are traveling with the largest party we ever have (with the exception of the wedding). Usually I travel down with my parents and brother. DH is not a big Disney fan so he usual stays home with all of our pets. This year though my Aunt, cousin and cousins daughter are tagging along, also one of my close friends will be coming. This will be a first time for all of them. So our party went from a party of 4 to a party of 8.

So on with the details …….

* Who is in our party

Ddad (51) – says he hates Disney but some how plans a trip every year. Helped plan my Disney wedding last year, making sure I had everything I needed to make it a true Disney wedding. Favorite character ?! Not really sure. We call him Grumpy all the time so we will just say that’s who it is.

DMom (49) – Disney lover like myself. Would live there is she could. Favorite character is Eeyore. She would run over a child just to get her hands on him. Ok not really but you get my point.

Me (29) – Love, love, love everything about Disney. Trying to convince DH that we need to move to Orlando. Favorite characters are Tinkerbell (I have a ferret named Tinkerbell) and Tigger.

DB (27) – My brother ….. A very special man!! He has cerebral palsy and is mostly in his wheelchair. He absolutely loves Disney and all the rides. He can’t speak but is very vocal. Favorite characters are Lightning McQueen, Mater and Tigger. He will be celebrating his 28th birthday at MK.

DFriend (23) – we work together coaching gymnastics. Has been to Florida many times but never to Disney. Favorite character is Squirt. Also celebrating her birthday while we are there.

DAunt (56?) – has never been to Disney or even on an airplane. This is her first real trip. Favorite character is unknown.

DCousin (28) – also has never been to Disney or on a plane. Favorite character is ?!?!

DC Daughter (7) – another first timer here for everything. Very smart little girl. Favorite character is Cinderella.


* Our travel dates

Sept 2nd to Sept 13th
Actual dates at Disney are Sept 6th to Sept 13th. Ddad, Dmom, DB, Dfriend and myself are headed to NYC first for 4 days before we fly to Orlando where we will meet up with Daunt, Dcousin and DC daughter. But don’t worry it won’t be without any Disney. We will be heading to the World of Disney NYC while we are there!

* Where are we staying

We will be staying in a house off property.

* What Advanced Dining Reservations we have made (if any)

So far this is what we have booked (still have a few more to book tomorrow and Saturday)

Monday September 7th - Sci-Fi Dine In - 2:10pm
Tuesday September 8th - Ohana – 6:55pm
Wednesday September 9th – Garden Grill Epcot - 6:00pm
Friday September 11th – T-Rex DTD – noon

We are still looking to book Crystal Palace on Thursday and BBB on Friday at DTD so my DC daughter will be all ready for MNSSHP.

* Our itinerary

Still working on this. We know what days we will be where but that’s about it.
Monday September 7th – DHS – lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In
Tuesday September 8th - AK – dinner at Ohana
Wednesday September 9th – Epcot – dinner at Garden Grill
Thursday September 10th (DB birthday!) – MK – lunch? At Crystal Palace
Friday September 11th – DTD – lunch at T-Rex DTD then off to MNSSHP
Saturday September 12th - SHOPPING!!

* Any special plans, events, etc that we have planned

We will be celebrating DB and Dfriend b-day while at WDW. We will also be attending MNSSHP while we are there.
