I have come to my senses (I guess...) and just booked our annual October WDW vacation. We discussed not doing WDW this year because of some work concerns and other reasons.
The other night my daughter brought up that she was sad we were not going to WDW. So, I asked the family if it was what they really wanted to do, as we were going to skip this year and do some smaller, long weekend / overnight trips instead. I got a resounding YES - let's go back.
October is our favorite time of year to go (big F&W fans), but at work I had been told that no extended vacations would be granted from Oct 2014 - Jan 2015 due to some major projects. Well - I decided to put in my Vacation request based on one of the projects being shelved, and my boss approved the vacation.
It makes me feel good knowing that we made the DVC purchase, and after many yearly trips to WDW, the family still wants to make the trip. I know how much I enjoy WDW, and to know the family feels the same is a good feeling.
So - 2014 here we come!!!!
