Do they ever start a referb a day late? I get there on May 11th, which is scheduled to be the first day of the referb.

Much needed, especially from the water in the boat perspective!

Hope they wrap it up early, and even more importantly don't go long.

We arrive the day after the refurb is supposed to be done, on Sept 26th.

Definitely sad we will miss it on our trip in June! When we were there in October, we only rode it once because it was constantly down. So I agree that it does need a refurb. It just won't be the same without it!!

Eeeek I get there on the 10th! It's a huge memory from going with my parents and wanted my own 8 year old to go with me! I was not going to go to a park the day we arrive. Hmmmm!

It is my husband's favorite ride. I offered to cancel the trip to Florida and make this fall's trip to Disneyland instead so he could ride on the "good" pirate ride, but he is being a sweet sport and trying to keep a stiff upper lip.

I'm going Sept. 12-19 and hoping for a soft opening (or refurb ahead of schedule, I'm crazy I know). But if not I will just smile and wave as we pass by.

I think missing POTC is going to be our family tradition. lol. Last time we were there they closed POTC for the whole day do to a breakdown of some type. This time, closed for a refurb! Maybe the third will be the charm.......
