So Friday, my family who is down from NJ for the long weekend ventured into MK for a day of fun. The day was very cold and rainy, but we were determined.

As we were strolling along Main Street, on the Emporium side of things, My Dh, myself and 3 others of our group of 12 watched a woman fall down. At first glance, it looked like she tripped.

My 2 cousins(both Disney Cm's) quickly mobilized to help get the woman on her feet, when we noticed she was starting to convulse. From there, it became chaos, but somewhat organized chaos. My cousins ran into the Emporium to get 911 called. My DH, and myself along with another few CM's, started getting people away from the scene, including the children in our group. we formed a human shield of sorts. MY BIL(who is a cop) and 2 other strangers began helping the woman. One was a pediatrician, and the other was another Dr. The rolled the woman off her stomach and started checking for pulse.

This is when things got scary. The woman began turning blue. I have never witnessed that before, and it was VERY scary. The pediatrician IMMEADIATLY began doing chest compressions right then and there. They also were looking to the portable de-fib packs. The 2 dr.s on site managed to get her heart beating again, but was a weak pulse. They EMT's started to arrive at this point, but the 2 dr's remained, doing what they could for the woman, who was still unconscience at the time.

The whole incident lasted about 15m. Disney did a GREAT job of keeping ppl AWAY from the scene. I felt the response of the Disney EMT's should have been faster, but I don't know where they were coming in from. The 2 drs that stopped saved that womans life...Thank goodness they were there..2 random strangers helping another. The woman did become to come to as they were getting her on the stretcher and wheeling her off.

She was alone when the incident happened, so I stayed to provide a witness statement, as within our group, I was the only one to provide a good description of what happened. While I was giving my statement, a member of the woman's party had gathered and was asking what happened, so I provided the info to her as well. She said that something like this had never happened before to her. I wish I could find out what happened to the woman, and if she is ok.

Wow. I hope she's okay and glad so many people were there to help! My husband is a physician and we've been on scene a few times for him to assist. He's always willing to help. One was at WDW but she just needed stitches...but she was freaking out like it was way worse!

I hope the lady you helped is okay!
